Casino Hold’em Overview

Casino Hold’em is a live poker game from Evolution, listed on SlotCatalog with a release date of 3 December 2018. It takes the community-card structure of Texas Hold’em and turns it into a banked table game: you do not play against the other people at the table, only against the dealer’s hand.

SlotCatalog gives an RTP of 96% and notes that the game is offered in several RTP versions, so the exact figure depends on the casino. The video above comes from Evolution’s own studio footage; there is no free demo of a live dealer game.

The Studio

The table in our captures sits in a dark studio lined with gold, lattice-patterned light panels. A dealer stands behind a semicircular blue-green table with the gold and red Casino Hold’em logo and one printed rule across the felt: “Dealer qualifies with pair of 4s or better”. The title bar showed table limits of €10–20,000.

How a Round Works

Evolution describes the aim simply: beat the dealer’s hand with the best five-card hand made from your two cards and the five community cards. The round opens with a short betting window – in one capture the countdown stood at 2 seconds with “PLACE YOUR BETS” on screen and the chip rail below the table.

Three bet spots are marked on the felt: ANTE, BONUS and PLAY. You place the Ante to join the hand; once your two cards and the first three community cards are out, you decide whether to continue with the Play bet or fold.

Reading the Hands

The game labels each hand for you as it develops. In one round the player panel showed King, Jack and Queen with the community cards and read “High Card”; in another, the dealer finished with a Straight against a player Pair. With “NEXT GAME SOON” on screen, the result stays visible long enough to check both hands.

The Live Interface

The stream carries the usual live-casino controls: a chat box in the top left corner (“Click to chat”), an Unmute button for the dealer’s audio, and a row of icons for settings, history and help along the top edge. During the betting window the recent winners scroll down the left side of the screen, and your balance and total bet sit in the bottom left corner – €36.30 and €0 in our captures, taken between rounds.

Because the community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table and the game names each hand automatically, you never have to work out a hand ranking yourself, which keeps the pace of a round quick.

Dealer Qualification

The printed rule matters for every decision: the dealer needs at least a pair of fours to qualify. How the Ante and the Play bet are settled when the dealer does not qualify is set out in the game’s help screen, which opens from the icons in the top right corner of the stream.

The Bonus Bet

The optional Bonus bet is separate from the main hand. According to Evolution, it pays out if a pair of Aces or higher is dealt in the first five cards – your two cards plus the flop – whatever happens against the dealer. Evolution also describes a jackpot-enabled version of the game with payouts of up to 100 to 1.

Who Should Play It

Casino Hold’em suits players who like Texas Hold’em but prefer a single, clear decision per hand to a full betting round against other players. The dealer-qualification rule and the side bet add some strategy without making the game complicated, and Evolution’s 2 Hand Casino Hold’em offers the same format with two hands per round.
