Cash Crooks Overview

Cash Crooks is a Hacksaw Gaming heist slot on a 5x4 grid with 14 paylines, running a 96.22% RTP, medium volatility and a maximum win of 10,000x the bet that is available in every game mode.

Theme and Graphics

The rulebook introduces the cast properly: long before they were the most wanted duo in the county, Betty and Clyve were just two stray cats with a nose for trouble. They stand to the right of the reels in trench coat and red dress, carrying a tommy gun between them; a bulldog policeman with a truncheon guards the left.

The base game takes place in a bank lobby with marble columns and security cameras pointed at the grid. During free spins the scene moves into the vault corridor, lit red by alarm lights, with a cat-paw wanted poster pinned to the wall.

Symbols are the spoils: a green gemstone ring, a pair of blue diamonds, a burglar’s swag bag, a bundle of banknotes and a bowl of cash, over cool blue card letters. The vault symbol itself is a yellow safe with a steel wheel on the front.

Vault Dials: Where the Max Win Lives

When a Vault symbol lands, it waits until all ordinary wins are settled and then turns into a Vault Dial in the same position. The dial spins and stops on one of 12 possible outcomes.

One of those outcomes is the MAX WIN, awarded instantly. The rest are multipliers of two kinds. Additive multipliers carry 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x or 250x. Multiplicative multipliers carry x2, x3, x4, x5, x10 or x20.

Values collect in a Piggy Bank displayed above the grid – in the captures it reads 10X and 15X as the round progresses. When several dials are active on the same spin, their values combine from left to right, and a multiplicative value on the first reel behaves as an additive one because there is nothing to its left to multiply.

Vault symbols land only on reels 1, 3 and 5, one per reel, so three dials is the maximum on any spin. Once they have all resolved, the Piggy Bank total is paid as a multiple of the bet.

The Getaway Gamble

This is the most interesting decision in the game. On entering either of the first two bonus rounds you are offered a choice: take the round as awarded, or gamble it on a Deluxe Dial with 12 outcomes.

The wheel can land on 5, 8, 12, 16 or 20 free spins – so you might improve on the ten you were given, or lose half of them – or on a Bonus Upgrade, which moves you up a tier immediately. Grab’n Go upgrades to Fierce & Fur-ious; Fierce & Fur-ious upgrades to Vault to Victory. A downgrade is not possible, and you may gamble once per bonus plus once more after an upgrade.

Three Bonus Tiers

FIERCE & FUR-IOUS needs 4 scatters. It runs the same way, but the Vault Dials are re-weighted – additive values now start at 10x and run 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x and 250x, multiplicative values run x3 to x20, and the max win is on the wheel.

VAULT TO VICTORY, the hidden epic tier, needs 5 scatters. It keeps everything above and adds one guarantee: at least one Vault Dial activates on every single spin.

That progression is cleanly designed. Each tier does not just pay more – it changes a specific rule, and you can see which rule from the round’s name onwards.

The Buy Menu

With ten free spins left the total win stood at 2.00; a vault landing on reel 1 then paid 75.00, and by the halfway point the round total had reached 78.00 with the Piggy Bank showing 10X.

That is the texture of the feature. The dial values look enormous on paper – 250x sits on the wheel from the second tier onwards – but most spins deliver a single-digit or low double-digit multiplier, and the round’s value depends on how many of the ten spins land a vault at all.

What the Symbols Pay

At a €5.00 bet the card letters – 10, J, Q, K and A – all pay 5.00 for five, exactly the stake back, with 2.50 for four. The ring and the diamonds pay 10.00 for five, the swag bag and the banknote bundle 15.00, and the bowl of cash 25.00, which is 5x the bet for the best line in the game.

Cash Crooks suits players who like a cash-collect mechanic with a decision attached. The Vault Dials give every spin a possible second act, and the gamble wheel means entering a bonus is not the end of the choices – a rarity in modern slots.
