Cash Box

Cash Box Overview

Cash Box is an instant cash-prize slot from Pragmatic Play, released on 28 June 2023. Instead of paylines it shows 15 steel safes on a 5x3 grid, and each spin opens some of them to reveal what is inside. SlotCatalog lists a 96.05% RTP, high volatility and a maximum win of 5,000x.

How the Safes Pay

Most safes stay closed on any given spin. The ones that open show a cash prize, a jackpot symbol or a Free Spins scatter. According to the published description, prizes range from 0.05x to 50x the stake, and at least three cash prizes must appear for the spin to pay their total.

• At a €100 stake, three safes opened with €100, €250 and €25, paying €375 – 3.75x. A Free Spins scatter and a Mini jackpot symbol appeared on the same spin.
• Another spin revealed €25, €5 and €50 for a win of €80 (0.8x).
• When only one safe opened, with €5 inside, nothing was paid – one prize is not enough.

Our Session

The demo started with a balance of €100,000 at a €100 bet. After a few spins the balance stood at €99,680, and after the €375 win it read €99,140 – a typical pattern for a game where many spins open too few safes to pay.

The Three Jackpots

Three banners above the grid show the jackpots as multipliers of the stake: Mini x40, Major x500 and Grand x5000. According to the published description, they are won by revealing 3 Mini, 4 Major or 5 Grand symbols. The Grand equals the game’s 5,000x cap.

Free Spins and Feature Buy

Three, four or five Free Spins scatters award 10, 15 or 20 free spins plus an instant 1x, 5x or 10x, according to the published description. The free spins work like the base game, and the round can retrigger the same way. Where available, the feature can be bought for 100x the stake. SlotCatalog lists the organic trigger rate at about 1 in 205 spins.

Who It Is For

SlotCatalog puts the chance of hitting the maximum win at about 1 in 1.54 million spins, and it lists adjustable RTP ranges, so the 96.05% can differ between casinos.

Cash Box suits players who want a quick, simple reveal game. There are no win lines to follow, and every spin is decided by how many safes open and what they hold.
