Burning Sun™ Extremely Light is a Hold the Jackpot slot from Wazdan, released under the VoltEnt brand. SlotCatalog dates it to 3 August 2023. It plays on a compact 4x4 grid with pay-anywhere wins, and everything revolves around glowing sun coins, four fixed jackpots and Wazdan's Mystery – Sticky to Infinity™ symbols. An Extremely Light Game

Wazdan uses the “Extremely Light” label for pared-back editions of its popular games, and this one fits the description. The regular grid is small – four reels, four rows – and the symbols are simple: letters A, J, K and numbers such as 9 and 7 in bold orange and purple, plus the red WILD tile. There are no paylines to follow; matching symbols pay wherever they land. In our spins a board of As paid 40.00 and a board of Js with three wilds paid 60.00, at a stake of 40 – 1x and 1.5x.

The Hold the Jackpot Bonus Game

The bonus is a classic hold-and-respin board. Sun coins with values lock in place, a RESPINS counter above the jackpot panel starts at 3, in the usual hold-and-respin rhythm. Jackpot coins marked MINI, MINOR and MAJOR can land alongside the cash coins. In one of our rounds the board held coins worth 80, 40, 40, 80, 600, 80 and more; the visible values add up to 1,120, or 28x the stake, when the respins ran out.

The Mystery – Sticky to Infinity™ symbol appears on the board as an orange tile with a lit fuse. In our base-game screenshots it sits on the grid among the letters, and in the bonus it stays in place while the respins count down. Our Double Extreme Round

We bought the most expensive level. The balance proves it: 96,720 before, 48,720 after – exactly 48,000 less. The final board held cash coins of 280, 120, 360, 600, 200, 80 and 600, jackpot coins for the MAJOR, the MINOR and two MINIs, and a treasure chest showing 20,160.

The chest was the star of the round: at 20,160 it was worth more than everything else on the board combined, which points to it being a collector that gathered values from the rest of the grid.

The game then announced “Congratulations! You won 32,000.00 FUN”. The numbers add up to the digit: the seven coins make 2,240, the jackpots 6,000 + 2,000 + 800 + 800 = 9,600, and together with the chest's 20,160 that is exactly 32,000 – 800x the stake, or two thirds of the 1,200x purchase price.

Base Game vs Bonus

The contrast between the two parts of the game is striking. The base-game wins we saw were 1x and 1.5x the stake, while one ordinary bonus board added up to 28x and the bought Double Extreme round paid 800x. As in most Hold the Jackpot games, the base game mostly exists to deliver sun coins and Mystery symbols; the real money is made on the coin board.
