Honey Boom Overview

Honey Boom is a candy-themed cascading slot from Funta Gaming, released on 12 September 2024. It plays on a 6x5 grid with scatter-style “pay anywhere” wins, so symbols only need to land in large enough groups anywhere on the screen. A Town Made of Sweets

The grid sits in a pink frosted frame in front of a candy town: gingerbread houses, lollipop trees, a river of golden honey and giant biscuits floating in it. The symbols are all baked goods – a lemon cake, a raspberry cake, a pink sprinkled donut, a green pistachio ring, chocolate blocks, a heart-shaped jam biscuit, a cookies-and-cream square and a white chocolate block.

The rainbow-frosted cupcake is the scatter, and the honey splashes that land during a win are the multipliers.

How the Paytable Works

Every symbol pays in three bands: 8–9 matching pieces, 10–11 pieces and 12 or more. The values in the rules are multiples of the bet:

• Lemon cake: 10x / 25x / 50x
• Raspberry cake: 2.5x / 10x / 25x
• Pink donut: 2x / 5x / 15x
• Pistachio ring: 1.5x / 2x / 12x
• Chocolate block: 1x / 1.5x / 10x
• Jam biscuit: 0.8x / 1.2x / 8x
• Cookies-and-cream: 0.5x / 1x / 5x

The jump from 10–11 pieces to 12 or more is the steepest step in the table: the chocolate block goes from 1.5x to 10x, and the green ring from 2x to 12x. Filling the screen with one kind of sweet is what the game is built around.

Cascades and Honey Multipliers

Winning pieces explode and new ones drop in from above, so one spin can pay several times. When a honey splash lands, it carries a multiplier – we saw x2, x3 and x5 – and it is applied once the cascades finish.

Our first capture shows the simplest case: a small group of sweets paid 1.2x the bet, a x2 splash doubled it, and the spin returned ¥12 on the ¥5 bet.

The Free Spins Round

Rainbow cupcakes trigger the bonus. Our round opened with the message “You have won 10 free spins”, and the counter on the left then ticked down from 10.

The bar above the grid shows how each free spin is settled. It adds up the cascade wins, then multiplies them by all the honey splashes on screen – and the splashes add together rather than multiply. Three examples from the same round:

• “19.5 x 2 = 39” with a single x2 splash, on spin 8;
• “14.5 x 6 = 87” with two x3 splashes, on spin 4;
• “9.5 x 8 = 76” with an x3 and an x5 splash, on spin 2.

The last spin added “9 x 5 = 45”, and the round finished at ¥1,049.50 – about 210x the ¥5 bet. That is a tenth of the 2,000x ceiling from one ten-spin bonus.

How the Round Built Up

The running total in the win box shows how unevenly a round like this grows. Two spins in, it stood at ¥65.95. By the time the counter reached 4 it had jumped to ¥431, mostly thanks to the spin with two x3 splashes. It passed ¥501 with two spins left, and the last spins more than doubled it to the final ¥1,049.50.

In other words, the first half of the round paid about 13x the bet and the second half about 197x. With multipliers that add up across the screen, a single spin with two or three splashes can outweigh everything that came before it, and the counter is never a reliable guide to how a round will end.

The base game looks very different. Between features our captures show wins such as ¥12 and ¥14.31 on the ¥5 bet – around 2x to 3x – and one of those spins came with three rainbow cupcakes already on the screen.

The Buttons on the Right

A shopping-cart button on the right side of the grid opens the bonus buy, which lets you pay to go straight into the free spins. A lightning button sits below it. Neither panel was open in any of our captures, so we cannot quote the buy price or describe the second option.
