Book of Demi Gods V is the fifth book-style instalment of Spinomenal’s Demi Gods series, released on 2 January 2024. The Symbols

The premium symbols are the gods and heroines of the series: a golden-haired sun god with a laurel wreath, a dark, bearded storm god crackling with lightning, a priestess in a purple gown, and a young woman with a jewelled headband. The Book

The golden book is the key symbol. It substitutes for the other symbols to complete wins, and landing enough books starts the free spins. What Our Spins Showed

We played at two stakes: a total bet of 20 (2 per line) and 50 (5 per line). The best base-game hit came from the priestess: three of her on one line paid 200 per line at the 5 line bet – 40x the line bet – and a second smaller line brought the spin to 225, or 4.5x the total bet.

A more ordinary spin paid 75, with a shower of gold coins over the reels; at a 50 total bet that is 1.5x. Most of the smaller wins come from the royals, while the gods and heroines are where the real line wins sit.

Stakes and Line Wins

The bet panel works per line: the PER LINE control sets the coin value on each of the ten lines, and the total bet is always ten times that amount. At 2 per line the total is 20, at 5 per line it is 50. Under the reels, a WIN PER LINE field shows what the best line paid, next to the total WIN for the spin – which makes it easy to check the paytable against the result. In our screenshots the priestess line paid 200 per line and the 10s line 25 per line, both at 5 per line, so three priestesses are worth eight times three 10s.

Free Spins and the Wheel

When the bonus starts, the game shows a congratulations panel: “You have won 10 free spins. Spin the wheel to determine which symbol will be the expanding symbol for the free spins round.” The wheel is a tall single reel in a golden frame, lined with the symbols of the game – the sun god, the storm god, the priestess and the royals – and a SPIN button stops it on the one you get.

During the free spins, that symbol expands to fill its whole reel whenever it lands in enough places to pay. In our round the storm god was chosen, and on one spin he expanded over the third and fourth reels, covering both columns top to bottom.
