Treasure Dragon Overview

Treasure Dragon is an Oriental-themed slot from Funky Games, released on 2 January 2025. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 243 ways to win, and it combines a wild dragon, a scatter, a fireball bonus with respins and two buyable features.

SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 96% and bets from 0.10 to 100. Funky Games does not publish a volatility rating or a maximum win that we could confirm, so those fields stay open. The figures below come from our own demo session at a stake of 100.

A Temple of Lucky Symbols

The reels stand in a red-lacquered Chinese hall. The premium symbols are classic good-luck charms: a purple phoenix, a fortune frog on a pile of coins, a golden turtle, a yin-yang disc and a stack of gold ingots. The low symbols are the card ranks from 9 to A, drawn in gold.

The wild is a dragon head with a flaming crown and the word WILD beneath it. A golden pot of treasure is the scatter.

SlotCatalog tags the theme with Chinese dragons, the fortune frog, the phoenix, the turtle, yin-yang and yuan bao ingots – exactly the symbols on the reels – and lists the features as a bonus game, bonus symbols, a buy feature, a cash collector, free spins, scatters and a wild. Every one of those except the free-spin round appears in our captures.

The Layout and Controls

The interface is built for touch screens. The spin button sits on the right with a lightning-bolt turbo button and an autoplay button beside it, the stake is set with plus and minus buttons at the bottom, and the BUY FREE SPIN plaque hangs on the left of the reels. The demo starts with a play balance of about ten million, so the stake of 100 we used is a tiny share of it.

The Paytable

The Game Info screen prints the payouts for five, four and three of a kind. The phoenix pays 300 / 80 / 30, the frog 200 / 60 / 20, the turtle 150 / 40 / 20, and the yin-yang and the ingots 60 / 20 / 16. All six card symbols share the same line: 20 / 16 / 10.

The scatter pays 200 for three. Because wins count across 243 ways, a symbol that appears on several rows of the same reel is paid more than once, which explains totals such as the 32.00, 72.00 and 120.00 we saw with one or two dragon wilds in play.

The Dragon Wild

The dragon substitutes for the regular symbols. In our captures it appeared on the middle reels, both alone and in pairs. The 72.00 win came with dragons on both reels 2 and 3, and the 120.00 win from a single dragon completing several turtle ways at once.

Fireballs and the Respin Bonus

The bonus revolves around flaming fireball symbols that carry cash values. We saw fireballs worth 100.00 and 200.00, and once five of them landed on the reels together. The feature then switches to an empty 5x3 grid with a counter reading RESPIN 3/3.

During the respins a blue collector ball appeared on the left side and gathered a total of 2.50K from the fireballs around it. At the end of our round the grid was nearly full, with values of 200.00, 300.00, 400.00, 500.00, 800.00, 1.00K and 4.30K across the positions.

The visible values on that final grid add up to about 9,700 – roughly 97x the 100 stake – but the game does not break the total down on screen, so treat that as our reading of the capture.

The capture that led into the bonus shows how it starts. Five fireballs landed on reels 2 to 5 – three worth 200.00 and two worth 100.00 – and the game switched to the respin grid, with the base-game symbols cleared away and the counter set to three respins. A burning fireball also hangs above the grid during the feature.

By the last capture the background had turned from red to gold, the counter read RESPIN 0/3, and thirteen of the fifteen positions held fireballs. Only a phoenix symbol and a green K remained uncovered.

The respin counter behaved the same way in both of our feature captures: it stood at 3/3 while fireballs were still arriving, which fits the usual rule that each new fireball resets the count. The feature ended once three respins passed without a new ball.

The collector is worth watching. It appeared as a large blue ring on the left side of the grid, sprayed with gold coins, and showed the running total it had gathered – 2.50K in our round, 25 times the stake on its own.

Buy Free Spins

The BUY FREE SPIN button on the left opens two options. At the 100 stake the Free Game costs 4,500 (45x) and the Bonus Game – the fireball feature – costs 6,000 (60x). The stake can be adjusted on the same screen.

Reading the Base-Game Wins

With a 100 stake the paytable values are easy to put in perspective. Five phoenixes return 300, which is 3x the stake, while three of any card symbol return just 10. That is why the 120.00 win – a stack of golden turtles joined by one dragon wild – was already a good result for the base game.

The scatter appeared once in our captures, dimmed on the fourth reel behind a 72.00 win. Three scatters pay 200, but the free-game round they lead to is not shown in our screenshots, so we do not describe its rules here.

Choosing Between the Two Buys

The price gap between the two options is 1,500 at a 100 stake. The Bonus Game goes straight to the fireball feature, which is where the collector and the large cash balls appear, while the Free Game leads to the free-spin round. The buy screen shows the prices in MYR in the demo, but they scale with the stake like everything else.

How It Plays

Most base-game wins are small, because the card symbols pay only 10 to 20 at this stake and even the phoenix tops out at 300 for five. The balance shows how the round-to-round swings stay modest: it moved between about 9,992,486 and 10,001,886 in our session.

The value of the game sits in the fireball feature, where large cash balls such as the 4.30K we saw can land alongside the collector.
