Voltage Blitz Lucky Wukong Overview

Voltage Blitz Lucky Wukong is a compact three-reel, three-row slot from Ruby Play built entirely around coin prizes, four fixed jackpots and a Hold and Win round. It has a high volatility rating, an RTP of 94.32% in the version we played, a 10.19% hit frequency and a maximum win of 5,000x the bet. It was released on 2 July 2026.

The Monkey King’s Temple

The reels sit inside a red Chinese pavilion in a bamboo grove, under a curved roof. Sun Wukong, the Monkey King of Chinese legend, perches on top in a golden headband, surrounded by coins and holding up a glowing orb.

There are no fruit or card symbols at all. The reels show dark empty sockets that fill with glowing Voltage Prize coins and swirling golden Voltage Orbs. The four jackpot plaques run down the left side, and a Buy Feature button sits on the right.

The Four Jackpots

At a €10 bet the plaques read MINI €250, MINOR €500, MAJOR €1,500 and GRAND €10,000. According to the rules, those are fixed multiples of the bet: 25x, 50x, 150x and 1,000x.

The spread between the tiers is wide. The Major is six times the Mini, and the Grand is more than six times the Major – a jump that makes the top plaque a genuine prize rather than an ordinary win dressed up as a jackpot.

So the Grand is not the ceiling. A 5,000x maximum win needs several large prizes collected in one Hold and Win round.

The Voltage Blitz Feature

This is the base-game win. When a Voltage Orb lands together with at least one Voltage Prize, the orb collects every prize value on the screen.

A prize can be an instant win of x1, x2, x3, x5, x7, x10 or x15 the bet, or one of the four jackpots. In our session, an orb in the middle column collected a single prize for €30.00, and another paid €40.00, shown on the bar as “Voltage Blitz Feature pays €40.00”.

Hold and Win

The main feature starts when a Voltage Orb lands on reel two and Voltage Prizes land on both reels one and three. You get three respins, and only orbs and prizes can appear.

The trigger is specific. The orb has to be in the middle column, and there have to be prizes on both sides of it; prizes on only one side are not enough, even if the screen looks full.

New orbs stay in place until the feature ends, every new orb or prize resets the respins to three, and prizes are collected as soon as they land. At the end, the value built up on the orbs is added to the total win.

What the Round Looked Like

Our round opened with three €20.00 prizes stacked on reel one, €50.00 and €150.00 on reel three, and the orb in the middle.

The first column filled from top to bottom with identical €20.00 coins, while the right-hand column held the two larger prizes. The middle column, with only the orb, was the one to watch, because every value in the round ends up on it.

As the respins played out, the orb’s running total rose to €560.00 and then €650.00 – 65 times the stake – with the respin counter showing 1, 2 and 3 beneath it.

Vortex Surge

During the base game, any orb or prize that lands can randomly trigger Vortex Surge. It adds a random number of orbs and prizes to the reels, and it always adds at least enough to start Hold and Win. It is the game’s way of turning a near miss into a feature.

Buying the Feature

The Buy Feature starts Hold and Win straight away for 75 times the bet – €750.00 at our €10 stake. The rules give the bought feature an RTP of 94.29%, almost the same as the base game, so buying does not change the expected return.

A bought round plays exactly like a natural one, and the game returns to the previous bet afterwards. The option may not be available at every bet level.

Put against the jackpot ladder, the price is easy to judge: 75x buys one attempt at a round in which the Grand alone is worth 1,000x and the Major 150x. At the 94.29% rate, the average return over many purchases is about 70.7x per round, and any single round can land far above or far below that.
