Spooky Spins Overview

Spooky Spins is a five-reel, three-row Halloween slot developed by Redstone and distributed under the Foxi (Fazi) brand. It plays on 40 fixed paylines, it has free spins with an expanding symbol, three progressive jackpots above the reels, and a published maximum win of 20,000x. It was released on 1 October 2024.

Neither Redstone nor SlotCatalog publishes a return or a volatility figure for this game, so we leave both empty rather than repeat numbers we cannot source. Everything below comes from our demo session at a 10 FUN stake.

A Haunted Candy Shop

The reels sit inside a purple wooden cabinet with a graveyard behind it – crooked crosses, a bare tree and jack-o’-lanterns hanging from its branches. The game title glows green above the frame, and the whole screen is lit in the violet-and-lime palette that Halloween slots have made their own.

The symbols split neatly into characters and sweets. The characters are a vampire, a witch and a zombie; the sweets are wrapped candies in green, pink and blue, a bat-printed lolly and a crescent-moon toffee. A carved pumpkin, which is the wild, and a cauldron full of sweets labelled FREE TREATS complete the set.

The Paytable

The vampire is the symbol to watch. At a 10 stake he pays 5,000 for five, 200 for four, 50 for three and 10 for two – five vampires on a line are worth 500x the stake, and he is the only symbol that pays for just two.

The witch and the zombie share the next line at 700, 120 and 40, so five of them are worth 70x. The sweets sit well below: the green candy pays 200, 40 and 20, and the pink and blue candies pay 150, 30 and 10.

The gap between the vampire and everything else is unusually large. Five vampires pay more than seven times as much as five witches, which means a single line of the top symbol can carry a whole session.

Forty Fixed Lines

The payline screen shows all forty patterns on a 5x3 grid, numbered in pairs from 1 to 40: the three straight rows first, then V shapes, zigzags and step patterns. The lines are fixed, so every spin plays all forty.

A typical base-game win in our captures was a 210 hit with four vampires linked across the middle rows – 21x the stake from one symbol.

The Expanding Pumpkin Wild

The pumpkin is the wild, and it does not stay a single symbol. When it lands it stretches over the whole reel and turns into a tall glowing column marked WILD, substituting on all three rows at once. In one of our captures two pumpkins expanded on the second and third reels side by side, and the two wild columns connected a witch, a skull candy and a vampire across several lines for a 220.00 total – 22x the stake.

Two full wild reels next to each other are what turn an ordinary spin into a good one on a forty-line game, because almost every line passes through both columns. The pumpkin appears in the base game as well as the feature, so these moments are not reserved for the free games.

The pumpkin does not appear in the Symbol Wins table, so its value comes entirely from the lines it completes rather than from a payout of its own.

Free Treats and Free Spins

The cauldron is the scatter. Three of them award 10 free spins, four award 15 and five award 20. In our trigger the cauldrons landed on the first, second and fifth reels, and the screen switched to the free games counter.

Our trigger awarded 10 free games, announced on a smoky green screen with a single CONTINUE button. During the round the pumpkin wilds did the heavy lifting, and the round produced a SUPER WIN of 1,080.00 on the 10 stake – 108x – with a 240.00 line shown underneath the headline figure.

Three Progressive Jackpots

Three counters sit above the reels, marked with a diamond, a gold bar and a silver bar. They move during play: the diamond read 9,962.76 at the start of our captures and 9,999.51 later, the gold 2,570.21 then 2,599.61, and the silver climbed from 385.58 to 398.79 and then dropped to 200.21, which suggests it had been won and reset in between.

The screenshots do not show what triggers the jackpots, so we cannot tell you how often they drop. What they do show is that the diamond jackpot sits close to 1,000x a 10 stake, and that all three are live, shared pools rather than fixed prizes.

What the Session Did

The balance line at the bottom left moved from 500.00 at the start to 2,230.00 by the vampire capture, with the free games round the largest single contribution we captured. That is one good feature carrying a session, which is the normal pattern for a slot with a 20,000x ceiling.

Outside the feature the wins were small and regular – two vampires or three sweets pay back a fraction of the stake, and they keep the balance from falling quickly while you wait for the cauldrons.

Who Should Play It

Spooky Spins is for players who like classic line slots with one strong top symbol and a simple free spins round. The forty fixed lines, the clear paytable and the three visible jackpot counters make it easy to follow.

The missing return and volatility figures are the main drawback – you are playing without knowing the long-run numbers. If that matters to you, keep the stake modest and treat the 20,000x ceiling as a rare prize rather than a target.
