Precious Leaf Overview

Precious Leaf (originally released as Hot Clover) is a classic Irish-themed slot from Inbet on 5 reels and 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines. Inbet’s own game catalogue dates it to 28 April 2022, and it lists the game under the code ib_hoc.

One thing to know before you look for it: Inbet has since renamed the game Precious Leaf, and that is the title our partner casinos show. The code, the 3x5 grid, the 10 lines and the spreading wild are the same. SlotCatalog lists it under the new name with an RTP of 92.58%, low volatility and a maximum win of 25x, with bets from 0.10 to 100.

The figures below come from our own demo session, played at a bet of 10 – one credit on each of the ten lines.

A Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow

The reels sit on a dark green board framed in gold, with clover leaves scattered across the background. The symbols are the familiar Irish set: a rainbow over a pot of gold, a purple pot of coins, a golden horseshoe, a green leprechaun hat with a buckle, and golden A and K letters plus a Celtic-knot Q.

The Wild is a golden four-leaf clover, and it substitutes for every symbol on the reels.

The Paytable

The paytable prints its values in credits for a one-credit line bet, which on our bet of 10 means the figures are line wins:

• Rainbow: 250 for five, 50 for four, 25 for three;
• Pot of coins: 80 / 40 / 20;
• Horseshoe and hat: 60 / 30 / 15;
• A and K: 40 / 20 / 10;
• Q: 20 / 10 / 5.

Every symbol needs at least three of a kind on a line from the leftmost reel. Five rainbows on one line pay 250, which is 25x the total bet and exactly the maximum win that SlotCatalog lists.

The Spreading Wild

The feature that sets the game apart is written on the paytable: “All neighbour symbols of WILD symbol position become WILD.” When a clover lands, the positions around it turn into golden WILD tiles, so a single clover can cover a whole block of the grid and sit on several paylines at once.

Our captures show how strong that is. In one spin a clover on the middle reel turned a large block into wilds and the spin paid 140 – 14x the bet. The follow-up screen showed K symbols on both edges joining the wild block for another line win of 40 inside the same total.

Ten Fixed Lines

The paylines page shows all ten lines: the three rows, two V shapes, two zigzags and three further patterns across the grid. They are fixed, so every spin plays all ten, and the bet changes only through the credit value.

Because the wild spreads to its neighbours, it almost always touches more than one line. That is why the game’s bigger results in our session all came from spins with a clover on the reels.

From Hot Clover to Precious Leaf

The rename is easy to miss. Our demo screenshots still show the Hot Clover logo above the reels, while the current Inbet catalogue entry for the same code reads Precious Leaf, and the casino lobbies use the new name and a new golden-clover cover image. The cover badges confirm what the game is: a 3x5 grid, 10 lines and an infected wild – the spreading wild described above.

If you search a casino for Hot Clover and find nothing, search for Precious Leaf instead. SlotCatalog files the game under the new name too, with a later listing date than Inbet’s original 2022 release.

Controls and Bet Settings

The control bar sits under the reels. From left to right it shows the coin value (FUN 1 in our demo), the balance, a message field that reports each win, the fixed 10 LINES, the total BET, an AUTO button for automatic spins and the round green START button, which turns into TAKE while a gamble is waiting. Sound, music and full-screen switches sit in the top right corner, and the question mark on the left opens the paytable and the paylines.

What the Session Did

The base-game results matched the paytable exactly. Three horseshoes on the bottom line paid 15, which is 1.5x the bet. Two lines of three K symbols paid 20. A horseshoe followed by three wilds on the middle row counted as four horseshoes and paid 30, the 3x printed for four of a kind.

The spreading-wild spin was the high point at 14x. Over the session the demo balance moved between roughly 730 and 1,170 credits – the gentle swings you would expect from a low-volatility game.

The Gamble Feature

After a win the game offers a card gamble. In our capture the amount at risk was 80. Guessing the colour of the next card doubles it to 160, and guessing the suit multiplies it by four to 320. The row of previous cards is shown at the top right, and a TAKE 1/2 button lets you bank half of the win before you gamble the rest.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 92.58% RTP is well below the market average of about 96%, and it is the most important figure to know before you play. The low volatility means frequent small wins rather than big swings, and the published 25x ceiling is modest.
