Pixel Invaders

Pixel Invaders Overview

Pixel Invaders is an arcade-style cluster slot from GameArt, released on 13 June 2023. The grid has 7 reels and 7 rows and pays for clusters of at least five matching aliens. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 96.33%, medium-high volatility and stakes from 0.40 to 200. The game itself shows a “Win up to 50,000x” banner, the same 50,000x top win SlotCatalog gives.

Cascades and the Fuel Meter

Every winning cluster explodes and the symbols above drop into the gaps, so one spin can produce several wins. Each cascade also adds fuel to the meter beside the grid; according to SlotCatalog’s review, seven cascades in a row fill it and start free spins on a random level. In one of our spins at a $24.00 stake a cluster paid $12.00 and the follow-up cascades brought the total to $36.00.

Random Blasts

Two random features can strike after a spin without a win. The Energy Ball destroys a symbol together with its four neighbours, while the Supreme Comet clears a whole reel and row, sparing wilds and scatters. Our first screenshot catches one of these blasts lighting up the grid.

Four Levels of Free Spins

Rocket scatters decide the level, as SlotCatalog describes it: four, five, six or seven rockets unlock Arion, Calypso, Hyperion or Titan with 20, 15, 8 or 5 free spins and multipliers of x1, x2, x4 or x10. Levels 3 and 4 add Mega Wilds and Morphing Symbols, and a scatter landing in the first two levels upgrades the round to the next one.

Symbols and Wilds

Seven pixel-art aliens make up the regular symbols. SlotCatalog’s review says they pay from 0.25x to 150x the bet for clusters of 5 to 15 or more, and that the wild replaces every symbol except the scatter Rockets.

Bonus Buy

Where allowed, three buy options cost 90x, 140x and 240x the bet, with RTPs of 96.88%, 97.22% and 96.84%.
