Monster Destroyer Overview

Monster Destroyer is a multiplayer shooting game from KA Gaming, released on 12 June 2024. Instead of reels, you control a cannon at the bottom of the screen and fire at monsters that march across a dungeon arena. Each monster carries a multiplier, and bringing one down pays that multiple of your shot.

SlotCatalog classes it among “other types” with a shooting-game feature and a bet range of $0.01 to $10 per shot. It does not list an RTP, a volatility rating or a maximum win, so we leave those fields open rather than guess. The figures below come from our own demo session, played at $1.00 per shot.

A Dungeon Full of Monsters

The arena is a stone dungeon with iron-bound walls, and later a volcanic cave with glowing cracks in the floor. The creatures are drawn in a cartoon fantasy style: horned goblins with spears, pale vampires in red and black capes, green gremlins, armoured orcs with axes, and a huge winged dragon that crosses the screen as one of the big targets.

Coins burst from every monster you destroy and fly towards your cannon, and the amount won appears above the explosion.

The Monster Paytable

The paytable is spread over nine pages. On page seven, six of the regular monsters are listed with their multipliers: 50x, 40x, 30x, 25x, 20x and 15x the shot. The armoured knight with a spiked helmet pays the most of the six, and a small horned warrior with a crossbow the least.

Because the prize is always a multiple of the shot, the same monster is worth a hundred times more at $1.00 than at $0.01, but the chance of bringing it down stays the same.

Weapons and Controls

Three buttons on the right side of the screen control how you shoot. Lock fixes your fire on one target, Auto fires continuously, and Power switches to a stronger weapon. The shot value is set with the plus and minus buttons at the bottom, and the table can be shared with other players, whose cannons appear around the edge.

A Shared Table

Monster Destroyer is played at a table with seats for several players. Empty seats show a “Waiting for player” label at the bottom of the screen, and when other players join, their cannons fire into the same arena. Everyone shoots at the same monsters, but each player is paid only for the creatures their own shots bring down.

Big Targets and Boss Wins

The largest prizes come from special monsters. Twice in our session a scythe-framed banner announced a $300.00 win on a $1.00 shot – 300x – once in the dungeon with a row of vampires on screen and once in the volcanic arena, where a dragon marked with $150.00 was also on screen.

Smaller hits were frequent: a $20.00 win (20x) from an armoured orc in the first arena and $109.00 (109x) from a pack of goblins caught together.

Fever Time

At random, the game switches to Fever Time. The screen fills with bursting blue energy spheres that sweep through the monsters, and every creature caught in them can be destroyed at once. In our capture the effect covered almost the whole arena, which is why this mode can pay many small prizes in a few seconds.

The previous description of the game also mentions a chain bomb that clears groups of enemies and a freeze effect that stops them in place; these did not appear in our captures.

What the Session Did

The balance started at $99,921, dipped to $99,795 while we fired at the heavier monsters, and climbed to $100,121 after the two 300x wins – a net gain of about $200 at $1.00 a shot. That is the usual rhythm of a shooting game: a steady cost for every shot fired, broken by occasional large catches.

Who Should Play It

Monster Destroyer suits players who prefer action to spinning reels and like to choose their own targets. The multipliers are easy to follow, and the three weapon modes let you control the pace. Without a published RTP it is hard to compare with slots on paper, so the free demo is the best way to judge whether the game’s rhythm suits you.
