Lucky Star Overview

Lucky Star is a space-themed gem slot from KA Gaming, released on 22 April 2023. It uses a classic 5x3 grid with 243 ways to win, and SlotCatalog lists it with a 96% RTP (the game is offered in several RTP versions) and stakes from 0.30 to 150 per spin. Symbols and Paytable

Every symbol is a faceted star-shaped crystal set in a hexagon, floating over a purple nebula. The paytable in our screenshots is shown at a $15 total bet:

Reading the Paytable

The figures are modest per symbol: even five red stars return 1.4x the total bet on a single way. The spread between the top and the bottom is also narrow, since the red star pays only 3.5 times what a pink or purple star pays. In a 243-ways game this is normal, because big results come from several ways paying at once, not from one symbol combination.

How the Ways Pay

Each win is paid once per way. One of our spins shows it clearly: three purple stars on the first three reels paid $6, because one purple on reel 1, three on reel 2 and two on reel 3 make 1 × 3 × 2 = 6 ways at $1 each.

The Wild

The multicoloured WILD star substitutes for the other symbols. In one screenshot three wilds on the middle reels joined a pink star and several low crystals, and the spin paid $26 at the $15 bet (about 1.7x).

In our screenshots wilds appear on reels 2, 3 and 5, sometimes two on the same reel. Two wilds on one reel double the number of ways through that reel, which is how a handful of low crystals can add up to a win larger than the bet.

Energy Collection and Respins

A vertical meter to the right of the reels holds three special stars and a charging capsule. SlotCatalog describes the feature as a symbol collection that awards respins with sticky wilds: collect the rare stars to trigger the respins. The exact collection rules are not shown in our screenshots.

Presentation and Controls

The layout is clean: a “243 WAYS” banner runs down the left edge, the collection meter sits on the right, and winning hexagons light up with a gold rim while the amount flashes across the reels.
