Luck of Tiger: Bonus Combo Overview

Luck of Tiger: Bonus Combo is an Asian-themed slot from NetGame. It plays on 5 reels and 4 rows with 50 fixed paylines, and it is built around three coloured Bonus Combo coins that can trigger free spins on their own or combine into bigger bonuses. NetGame’s own game data lists a 96.49% RTP, medium-low volatility, a maximum win of 7,000x the bet and a release date of 23 February 2024. SlotCatalog gives a slightly lower 96.09% and an earlier January date; we follow the studio’s figures.

The Setting

The game is set in what NetGame calls a “heavenly Asian realm”: pagodas stand in a pink mist on both sides, and the reel window is framed in red and gold. Above the reels sit three large pots – a green one labelled Prosperity, a red one labelled Jackpot and a blue one labelled Longevity – with the jackpot plaques stacked above them.

The Symbols and Paytable

The paytable screen we captured was open at an $88 stake. At that bet it showed:

  • Top character symbol: 360 for five, 60 for four, 24 for three and 4 for two
  • Golden coin, goldfish, firecracker and fan: 120 / 32 / 12 for five, four and three
  • A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9: 60 / 16 / 4

The top symbol is the only one that pays for two of a kind. One of our screenshots matches the table exactly: a $24.00 win at the $88 stake came from fans, and two lines of three fans at 12 each make exactly 24.

The Wild Tiger

The white tiger is the Wild. According to the paytable it substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus Combo coins, and it appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 only – never on the first reel. NetGame describes it as “appearing often”, and our screenshots bear that out: in two of them tigers covered most of the second and third reels, producing wins of $236.00 and $108.00 at the $88 stake.

Bonus Combo Coins

The feature that gives the game its name is the set of three Bonus Combo coins – green, red and blue, matching the three pots. The paytable puts it simply: “Landing a Bonus Coin may activate Free Spins Bonus with a unique effect.” NetGame adds that when more coins land, they unlock a combination of those bonuses, with a Mega Bonus at the top for players who collect them all.

So each colour stands for its own version of the free spins, and landing several colours together stacks their effects rather than choosing between them.

The Longevity Bonus

Our free spins came from the blue coin. The game announced: “Longevity Bonus – Won 5 Free Spins”, and the small print on the panel explains the blue coin’s effect: it “awards additional free spins and cash prizes”. Five spins is the starting count; the Longevity coin can extend it during the round.

Jackpots That Scale With the Bet

Comparing our screenshots at two different stakes shows how the plaques above the reels work:

  • At $22: 110,000 on the top plaque, 11,000 below it, 550 on the left and 220 on the right
  • At $88: 440,000, 44,000, 2,510 and 880

Three of the four are fixed multiples of the stake: 5,000x for the top plaque, 500x for the one below it and 10x for the right-hand plaque. The left-hand value did not scale in step – it was 25x at $22 but about 28.5x at $88 – which suggests that this pot grows as the game is played.

The Numbers Behind the Game

NetGame publishes more statistics than most studios. Besides the RTP and volatility, its game data lists:

  • Hit frequency: 19.64% – roughly one winning spin in five
  • Feature hit rate: 1 in 83 spins
  • Big win hit rate: 1 in 244 spins
  • Maximum exposure: €250,000 per win
  • Symbols: 4 scatters, 1 wild, 5 rare and 6 common

The symbol count matches the paytable we saw: the five “rare” symbols are the character, the golden coin, the goldfish, the firecracker and the fan, and the six “common” ones are the letters and numbers from A down to 9.

A bonus every 83 spins on average is frequent for a slot with a 7,000x ceiling, and it fits the medium-low volatility rating. The minimum stake is 0.22; SlotCatalog lists 22 as the maximum.

Graphics and Sound

The reel window is tall and narrow, with four rows of symbols under the stacked jackpot plaques and the three pots, so the machine stands tall in the middle of the screen rather than spreading across it. The pots glow when coins land, the premium symbols are drawn in bright red and gold, and the white tiger stands out clearly against the red reel background. The bonus announcements appear on a red scroll framed by clouds.

Who It Is For

Luck of Tiger: Bonus Combo is for players who like frequent features and a busy base game. The Wild tiger turns up often, the coins trigger bonuses on their own, and combining them is where the bigger prizes are. With medium-low volatility and a published feature rate of 1 in 83, it is one of the steadier NetGame titles. All six casinos we checked carry it.
