Wild Trail Overview

Wild Trail is a wildlife video slot from Foxi (Fazi), released on 27 November 2023 under the studio’s Redstone label, whose logo appears in the corner of the game. It is played on 5 reels and 4 rows with 40 paylines. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 95.32% and stakes from 0.10 to 200 per spin, but gives no variance or maximum win for it. The features are stacked Wilds, a Bonus Scatter and Free Spins that can be extended.

Theme and Graphics

The reels stand in a desert canyon under a pale full moon, with red rock towers on both sides and blue mountains in the distance. The artwork is realistic: a grey wolf, a bald eagle, a brown bear, an American bison and a wild rabbit share the reels with a pink flowering tree that serves as the Wild. The lower symbols are the card ranks 10, J, Q, K and A.

Jackpot Meters

Three meters run above the reels, marked with a diamond, a gold bar and a silver bar. In our screenshots they stood at 50,880.40, 9,800.50 and 1,380.10. The game’s paytable pages we captured do not explain how these prizes are won, so we cannot say more about them.

Paytable

The Symbol Wins page in our fourth screenshot was opened at a stake of 10.00. Five Wilds pay 500.00, four pay 50.00 and three pay 10.00. The bear and the bison share one row at 100.00, 20.00 and 5.00, and the eagle and the wolf pay 60.00, 15.00 and 5.00. The rabbit and the Ace return 40.00, 10.00 and 2.00, while the 10, J, Q and K pay 25.00, 5.00 and 1.00 for five, four and three of a kind.

Stacked Wilds

The flowering tree Wild often lands in tall stacks. In our first screenshot Wild stacks filled reels 1 and 3, and together with the 10s on reels 2 and 4 they paid 108.00 on a 10.00 stake. In the second, stacked rabbits and Wilds on the first three reels paid 64.00, and in the third a group of wolves joined by Wilds paid 60.00. The fifth shows how the card symbols can stack as well: J symbols on three reels paid 23.00.

Bonus Scatter and Free Spins

The Bonus symbol, a sunset over the canyon, is the Scatter. Three of them award 10 Free Spins, four award 20 and five award 30. SlotCatalog also lists additional Free Spins among the features, so the round can be extended by landing more Bonus symbols.

What the Prizes Mean

Measured against the 10.00 stake, five Wilds on a line return 50 times the bet. The best animal symbols, the bear and the bison, pay 10 times the bet for five of a kind, the eagle and the wolf 6 times, the rabbit and the Ace 4 times, and the four lowest card ranks 2.5 times. Because the symbols come in stacks, one spin often pays on several of the 40 lines at once, as the 108.00 win in our first screenshot shows. The Wild is also the most valuable symbol on its own, so a full line of Wilds gives the top line prize.
