Knock The Mouse Overview

Knock The Mouse is an arcade-style game from Funta Gaming, released on 17 May 2024. It has no reels or paylines. Instead, a burly farmer with a wooden mallet defends his vegetable patch against a crowd of cheeky gophers. Every round is one strike: you hit the gopher that pops up, and its value multiplied by your bet is your win.

Theme and Design

The setting is a bright cartoon farm: red-roofed cottages and a barn on the horizon, a wooden fence, cabbages, pumpkins and beetroots along the edges, and a ring of molehills in the middle of a green lawn. The farmer – white beard, green cap, blue dungarees – stands behind the molehills, mallet raised.

The gophers are the stars. Each colour is a different character with its own value: a brown one with buck teeth, a blue one, a green one, a red one, a pink one with a bow, a yellow one, and a purple punk with a rainbow crest and glasses who is worth the most. The whole screen is easy to read, with the credit, the last win and the bet shown along the bottom, and an Abandon button on the left.

How It Plays

The rules screen puts it in one line: hit the gopher to win. The payout formula is shown just as plainly: Payout = Bet x Symbol Odds x Bonus. Each gopher carries its own odds, and a bonus multiplier can be added on top.

The Abandon button lets you skip the gopher that has appeared and switch to the next one. It is a small but unusual choice for a game of this kind – you do not have to take a strike on a low-value character if you would rather wait for another.

Gopher Values

The paytable lists the odds for each gopher. Most of them have several possible values, shown from the highest to the lowest:

• Purple punk gopher: x1 to x100
• Yellow gopher: x30, x15 or x5
• Pink gopher: x15, x8 or x3
• Red gopher: x8, x3 or x1
• Blue gopher: x3, x2 or x1
• Green gopher: x3 or x1
• Brown gopher: x2 or x1

The rules do not spell out what decides which of the listed values a hit pays. What is clear is the spread: the common-looking brown and green gophers pay a little, while the yellow, pink and especially the purple characters can pay many times the bet.

Multipliers and Prop Eggs

According to the rules, x2, x5 and x10 multipliers may appear. These are the “Bonus” part of the payout formula, so a multiplier on a high-value gopher can lift the result sharply. Funta Gaming describes the eggs that come up during play as special props that give you a boost, and the free spins are hidden inside one of them.

Free Game

When the Free Spins symbol appears, it triggers the Free Game, which gives 6 free spins. In our screenshot the symbol hatches out of a cracked egg in the middle of the molehills, with gophers of every colour lined up on both sides.
