A Harlequin in a Neon Alley

The setting is a rain-soaked city street at night, with neon signs, hanging lanterns and a motel sign glowing behind the reels. The star is Joker Qwin herself – a harlequin in red and white with a giant mallet, who appears as the wild.

The symbols are classic fruit-machine icons: a red 7, a golden bell, cherries, a lemon, a plum, an orange and a teal X. Red-ribboned gift boxes are the bonus symbols.

The Paytable

Only three of a kind pay, since the grid is three reels wide. At a 15.00 bet – 3.00 per line – the paytable reads:

In line-bet terms the 7 pays 20x and the X pays 1x. Measured against the total bet, even the top line is only 4x, which is why the multiplier and the Hold and Win feature carry this game.

The ladder is also evenly stepped: every symbol is worth a round multiple of the line bet – 20x, 15x, 10x, 7x, 5x, 3x and 1x – so any line win can be checked at a glance against the bet shown in the corner.

The Wild

Joker Qwin appears only on the second reel. When she lands and a winning combination is possible, she expands to fill the whole reel and substitutes for every symbol except the gift box.

On a 3x3 grid, a full middle-reel wild touches all five lines at once, so a single expansion can turn two matching symbols on the outer reels into several paying lines.

The Multiplier Meter

Line wins are multiplied by the value on the green meter, and the win line confirms it. At a 30.00 bet, one capture reads "LINE 3: 3 X EX X 4: 24.00" – three X symbols worth 6.00 on that line, times 4. Another shows the same line times 5 for 30.00.

Across our captures the meter stood at 3, then 4, then 5. The jackpot plates moved with it: at a 30.00 bet the Grand read 13,500.00 at x3, 18,000.00 at x4 and 22,500.00 at x5.

That makes the relationship exact. Each plate is a fixed multiple of the bet, scaled by the meter: the Grand is 150x, the Major 100x and the Mini 50x the total bet, times the current multiplier.

The Base Game in Practice

The base game is a grind, and our captures show it clearly. The first win we recorded was 18.00 at a 30.00 bet – a single X line worth 6.00, times the x3 meter – celebrated with a full-screen "Congratulations! You won" and two crossed mallets.

The next two, at x4 and x5, were 24.00 and 30.00: again one X line each, and again less than the 30.00 stake. Meanwhile the demo balance slid from 940.00 to 814.00, 772.00 and 562.00.

By the time we dropped the bet to 15.00 the balance was down to 70.00. That is the shape of a volatility-5 game: the cheap X symbol lands often, the multiplier grows slowly, and the balance leaks until a feature arrives.

Hold and Win

Gift boxes carry cash values, and enough of them trigger the Hold and Win feature with 3 respins. The round opens with the respin counter at three, and the boxes already on the grid stay in place.

The values on the boxes are also multiplied by the meter. At a 15.00 bet with the meter at x5, our boxes showed 45.00, 60.00, 75.00, 150.00, 225.00, 300.00 and 750.00 – in base terms 0.6x to 10x the bet, times five.

Seven, eight and nine boxes on the grid win the Mini, Major and Grand respectively, on top of the box values.

The Round We Played

Our Hold and Win round began with three boxes worth 150.00, 60.00 and 45.00. It ended with eight boxes on the grid and one bell left uncovered.

The total came to 9,600.00 at the 15.00 bet – 640x. Eight boxes are the Major, which stood at 7,500.00 with the x5 meter, and the remaining 2,100.00 came from the box values themselves.

After the round the demo balance read 9,670.00, up from 70.00 before the feature started.

Buying the Feature

The shopping-cart icon opens the Buy Bonus menu. At a 15.00 bet the Hold and Win feature costs 930.00, which is 62x the bet.

The Free Games meter sat at zero in every capture, so we did not see the free spins in action. Catalogues list free spins among the features, together with additive symbols and scatter symbols.

Where the 5,000x Comes From

Felix states its ceiling as 5,000x Total Bet. With a 150x Grand scaled by the meter, the Grand alone passes 5,000x once the multiplier climbs above about x33, and the box values add to it.

We did not see the meter go that high, so the exact route to the cap remains the studio's figure rather than something we observed.

Who Should Play It
