Sushi

Sushi is a Japanese street-food slot from KA Gaming, released on 13 November 2025. It plays on a 5x4 grid with 30 lines and takes bets from 0.30 to 150. Its paytable does something almost no other five-reel slot does: it pays for combinations of up to ten of a kind, because a single plate can hold more than one piece of sushi.

A Side Street At Night

The reels hang in the window of a restaurant on a narrow Japanese street, with paper lanterns, a chalkboard menu and pots of red flowers on either side of the frame and a wooden sign in kanji above it. The words 30 LINES run vertically down both edges of the grid in orange characters, and the controls – NEW BET, a spin button, MAX BET – sit along the bottom next to the win, total bet and balance.

The symbols are a menu: plates of salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, mixed sushi, a set of tea cups and a tray of sake bottles, with A, K, Q and J in brushed kanji-style lettering underneath. The chef behind the counter is the wild and a hanging shop poster is the SCATTER.

Plates That Hold Several Pieces

This is the mechanic that makes the game worth a look. A symbol position does not hold one piece of sushi – it holds a plate, and the plate can carry one, two, three or four pieces. Every piece counts separately towards the combination.

One of our screenshots shows it plainly: four plates in the top-left corner of the grid carrying one, three, three and four rolls between them. That is why the paytable runs all the way from three of a kind to ten, on a grid that is only five reels wide.

The Paytable

The values are printed at the stake you are playing. At a total bet of $150.00 across 30 lines – $5.00 a line – the top symbol pays:

10 pieces – $10,000.00
9 – $5,000.00
8 – $4,000.00
7 – $2,500.00
6 – $1,250.00
5 – $800.00
4 – $200.00
3 – $100.00

The four symbols below it step down in an orderly fashion: $9,000, $8,000, $7,000 and $6,000 for ten of a kind, with the sake tray at the bottom paying $50 for three. Read against the $5.00 line bet, ten of the best symbol is worth 2,000x the line and three is worth 20x.

The Cliff Between Four And Five

There is one very sharp step in that ladder. Four of a kind pays $200.00 and five pays $800.00 – four times as much for one extra piece. Below that, three to four is a doubling; above it, every further piece adds between 50% and 100%.

That shape rewards plates over positions. Getting a fifth matching piece onto a line from a two-piece plate is far easier than landing a fifth separate symbol, which is the whole point of the design.

What The Lines Paid

The banner across the top of the reels names the line and the amount. At our $150 bet:

Single lines are small, but they arrive in bundles: the win box read $150.00, $750.00 on two separate spins and $1,750.00 on the plate-heavy one – up to 11.7x the stake. The balance moved from $75,873.05 to $76,823.05 and back down to $73,448.05 across our session.

The Chef And The Poster

The chef wild stands behind his counter in a white coat and headband, and in our screenshots he appeared on the first and second reels, completing lines of Qs and As as well as sushi. The SCATTER is a hanging shop poster; it landed on the middle reel in one spin, and slot catalogues list free spins and additional free spins among the game’s features, so three of them is what opens the round.

No Published RTP

KA Gaming has not published a return-to-player figure or a volatility rating for Sushi, the slot catalogues list both as unavailable, and the game does not appear in the studio’s own release spreadsheet. We have left both fields empty rather than print numbers we cannot stand behind. The one figure that is solid is the bet range – 0.30 to 150 across 30 lines – and the paytable above, which is read straight from the game.

What The Bet Changes

Everything scales with the stake. Our screenshots were taken at the 150 maximum. At the 0.30 minimum every figure is 500 times smaller: ten top-symbol pieces pay 20.00, three pay 0.20, and the $1,750 spin would have been worth $3.50. The multiples of the line bet never change.
