Golden Tree Overview

Golden Tree is an Asian-themed slot from NetGame, released on 22 September 2023. It plays on a 5x3 grid with 30 paylines, and a golden money tree covered in coins stands beside the reels against a violet mountain sky. NetGame’s own data gives a 96.29% RTP, medium volatility, a hit frequency of 30.8% and a maximum win of 5,500x the bet. The feature triggers on average once every 113 spins.

Five Fixed Jackpots

Five jackpot plaques run across the top of the frame. At a $10 bet they read:

• Grand: $30,000 – 3,000x
• Mega: $5,000 – 500x
• Major: $1,000 – 100x
• Minor: $250 – 25x
• Mini: $100 – 10x

They are fixed multiples of the stake, not progressive pools, so the Grand is always worth 3,000 bets – more than half of the game’s 5,500x ceiling on its own.

Sliding Wilds

The heart of the game is the Sliding Wild. Wilds arrive in stacks of three or four, and each wild carries a multiplier badge. According to NetGame, a freshly landed wild starts at x1; after every spin the reel slides down by one symbol, and each slide adds +1x to the multiplier until the stack has left the reel. Our screenshots show the full range: a column of X1 WILD coins, a reel of X2 WILD, and a single X5 WILD on its way out at the bottom of the fifth reel.

Wilds do more than substitute. Any wild that takes part in a winning line can award an extra prize – a direct payout, free spins, one of the jackpots or the Jackpot Bonus game.

What Our Spins Showed

We played at $10 across 30 lines. A full reel of X2 wilds in the middle produced $7.00; two neighbouring X2 wild columns turned a handful of fish and bags into $32.00; and a stack of X1 wilds with a column beside it paid $45.00, 4.5 times the bet. The lone X5 wild at the bottom of the last reel still added $5.50 to a spin full of low symbols.

The Jackpot Bonus

When the game announces “Congratulations! You won Jackpot Bonus”, the reels give way to a board of 19 closed coins under a banner that reads “Match 3 to win jackpot”. You flip coins until three of the same jackpot appear. Two special coins change the odds: REMOVE takes the lowest jackpot out of play, and WIN ALL awards every jackpot at once. Our board showed three REMOVE coins and a WIN ALL coin among the Grand, Mega, Major, Minor and Mini tiles.

NetGame adds two details: wilds on the reels do not use up the remaining free spins, and extra wilds can appear on the second reel during the round, which keeps the sliding columns coming.

Symbols

The high-paying symbols are a golden koi, a gold ingot bag, a teapot and a lion statue; the low symbols are the card royals from 10 to A in purple, blue and green. The scatter is the golden tree itself, and the wild is a red and gold coin with the multiplier printed on it.

Graphics and Sound

The reels sit in a red lacquered frame with golden trim, and the money tree on the left glitters with stacked coins. Pink blossom frames the jackpot board in the bonus. The presentation is bright and busy, in the style of NetGame’s other Asian titles.
