The setting is a torchlit cave, with rough boulders on either side of the reels and a hanging oil lamp in the gloom. The reels sit inside a wooden mine frame, and the title logo glows in gold with a pair of crossed pickaxes above it.

The most striking design choice is the layout. The screen is split into two stacked grids. The lower one is the ordinary 5x4 reel set. The upper one is a separate 5x4 board of coloured gem tiles, each carrying a cash value, with a bundle of dynamite in two of its corners. This upper board is the Cash Pool, and it stays visible during every spin, so you always know what is on offer.

The symbols fit the theme. The premiums are a bearded prospector, a donkey, a shovel and a gold pan filled with nuggets, while the low symbols are the familiar card ranks from 10 to A in a rough, hand-cut style.

The Paytable

The paytable is stated in the demo’s currency at a small stake, and the ladder is steep at the top and flat at the bottom. The prospector pays 1.25 for five, 0.50 for four and 0.10 for three. The Wild is a gold coin marked WILD, and it pays like the prospector: 1.25, 0.50 and 0.10. It substitutes for everything except the Cash Pool, the Golden Cash Pool and the Bonus symbol.

How the Cash Pool Works

The feature that gives the game its name is triggered by the Cash Pool symbol, drawn as a pair of crossed pickaxes on a wooden plaque. According to NetGame, four or more of them on the reels trigger an instant payout from the board above.

When that happens, a counter labelled CASH TRIGGER lights up between the two grids and the tiles on the upper board begin paying out. Our captures show the values on offer at the 20.00 bet: tiles of 20.00, 40.00, 50.00, 70.00, 80.00, 90.00, 100.00, 200.00, 250.00, 300.00, 400.00 and 500.00, plus two tiles marked 1K. The two 1K tiles are the ones to watch: each is worth 50x the bet on its own.

The Dynamite in the corners is the twist. NetGame describes it as exploding during the feature and collecting the payouts from the Cash Pool cells next to it, so a dynamite stick sitting beside a high-value tile can turn one prize into several.

What the Cash Pool Paid in Our Session

In one capture, a cluster of wilds and Cash Pool symbols set off the trigger and the round paid 114.00, a little under 6x the bet. In another, the board visibly emptied as tiles were collected, leaving dark gaps where the prizes had been, and the counter between the grids read 1,000.00 – a 50x payout from a single feature.

That second result is a good illustration of how the game is built. The ordinary line wins are modest, and it is the upper board that produces the numbers you remember.

It also explains why NetGame can publish a feature rate as high as 1 in 25. The Cash Pool is a frequent, modest event, not a rare jackpot, and the tiles on the board are mostly in the 1x to 25x range, with the two 1K tiles as the outliers.
