Chicken Highway Overview

Chicken Highway is a step-multiplier crash game from SmartSoft Gaming, released on 9 December 2025. There are no reels: a chicken stands on the roadside, and every lane of traffic it crosses raises the multiplier on your stake – until you cash out, or a car gets there first.

SlotCatalog lists the game with an RTP of 97%, adjustable volatility, a maximum win of 10,000x and bets from $0.10 to $100. The numbers below come from our own demo session, played at 0.10 DMO on the Easy setting.

The Road and the Coins

The screen is a dark multi-lane highway seen from above, with a desert roadside, cacti and red rocks on the left where the chicken starts. Across the middle of the road runs a line of round covers, one per lane, each printed with the multiplier you reach by stepping onto it.

Lanes you have already crossed turn into gold coins, the lane the chicken is standing on glows green, and the ones still ahead stay grey. Behind the chicken, small striped barriers drop into the crossed lanes, while cars, pick-ups and trucks keep racing through the lanes ahead.

The Multiplier Ladder on Easy

On the Easy setting the ladder starts very gently. Our captures show 1.02x, 1.06x, 1.10x, 1.15x, 1.22x, 1.30x and 1.40x for the first seven lanes, followed by 1.55x, 1.72x, 1.90x, 2.10x, 2.25x, 2.50x, 3.00x, 3.50x and 4.20x.

The steps are small at first and grow wider as the chicken moves further out, which is the usual shape of this kind of game: the early lanes are cheap to cross, and the real multipliers sit deep in the traffic.

Start, Go and Cashout

The controls sit under the road. You set the stake with the plus and minus buttons, choose the difficulty from the drop-down (our session used EASY), and press START. After that the green button reads GO, and each press moves the chicken one lane.

The yellow CASHOUT button always shows what you would take home right now. At 1.30x it offered 0.13 DMO, and at 2.10x it offered 0.21 DMO – exactly the stake times the multiplier.

How Our Run Ended

We pushed on from 2.10x instead of cashing out. On the next step, into the 2.25x lane, a truck came through and the chicken was flattened on the road. The round ended with nothing, and the 0.21 DMO that had been on offer one step earlier was gone.

That single capture sums up the game: every GO is a fresh decision between the sure amount on the Cashout button and a slightly bigger number one lane further on.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 97% RTP is above the usual slot average. The 10,000x maximum is only reachable deep into the ladder, far beyond the 4.20x lane we saw on Easy.
