777 Blazing Hold and Win Overview

777 Blazing Hold and Win is a classic three-reel slot from Funky Games, released on 17 June 2024. It plays on a 3x3 grid with 5 paylines, and it adds a diamond-based Hold and Win bonus with three fixed jackpots to the familiar sevens-and-fruit formula.

A Classic Machine

The design is a straight tribute to old fruit machines. Three silver reels sit in a black frame with a perforated metal texture, and the logo – a flaming red 777 with the words BLAZING and Hold & Win – sits in the top left corner. Next to it, three coloured boxes show the jackpots for the current bet at all times.

The symbols are exactly what the name promises: a gold 777, a flaming red 77, a single red 7, silver double and single BAR symbols, grapes, an orange, cherries and a wrapped blue candy. The diamonds that start the bonus carry a cash value printed across the stone.

The Paytable

All wins need three of a kind on a line, and the paytable shows them in cash for the current bet. At 100, the gold 777 pays 10K – 100x the bet. The flaming 77 pays 5K (50x), the single red 7 pays 2K (20x), the double BAR 1K and the single BAR 400.

The fruit sits lower. Grapes pay 200, the orange 100, cherries 40 and the blue candy only 20, which is 0.2x the bet. The paytable also carries a short note: “Payout for voucher should be deducted by the face value.”

The ladder is steep. The three kinds of seven take the top three places, from 20x to 100x, the two BARs sit at 10x and 4x, and the fruit and the candy fill the range from 2x down to 0.2x. Three gold sevens are worth as much as five hundred candy wins, so the sevens decide most sessions.

Five Lines on a Small Grid

The five paylines are the three horizontal rows and the two diagonals. That is a small number, but on a 3x3 grid the centre square alone sits on three of them – the middle row and both diagonals – and each corner sits on two.

The screenshots show how quickly it adds up. Three red sevens on the bottom row paid 2,000. A diagonal running from a single 7 through a gold 777 to a flaming 77 paid 5,000. The best spin in our session paid 10,000 – 100x the bet – with two lines of flaming sevens at 5K each. Smaller results, such as 400 for three single BARs on the bottom row and 440 from a spin with cherries and BARs, filled in between.

Controls and Bet

The controls sit on both sides of the reels. On the left are the menu and the info button, which opens the paytable, the paylines and the wild symbol description. On the right are three round buttons: autoplay, the large spin button and a fast-forward button for quicker spins. The bet box in the bottom right corner has minus and plus buttons, and every value on the screen – the paytable and the three jackpots – follows it.

The demo starts with a very large balance, a little over 10,000,000, so the session numbers are best read as multiples of the bet. During our captures the balance moved between 10,003,100 and 10,011,920.

The Diamonds

Diamond symbols land on any reel and show a value – in our session 100 and 200, which is 1x and 2x the bet. One diamond on its own does nothing, but three of them on the grid at the same time start the bonus. In one spin, three diamonds worth 200 each landed on the three reels, and the game switched to a gold screen: “Congratulations! You won Bonus Game”.

The Hold and Win Bonus

The bonus is played on a separate board of nine red cells, each marked with a faded 777. The three trigger diamonds stay in place, and a counter on the left shows 3 respins. New diamonds lock in and, in the usual Hold and Win pattern, reset the counter. The TOTAL WIN box at the top started at 600 – the sum of the three 200 diamonds.

SlotCatalog describes the feature as a chase with unlimited respin potential and diamond multipliers reaching x1000. We did not see the round to its end, so our capture only shows the opening state.

The opening value of the round is easy to read. Three diamonds worth 200 each gave a starting total of 600, which is 6x the bet before a single respin. Each new diamond adds its own value to the box, and the jackpot values in the header show what the special stones can be worth.

Three Fixed Jackpots

At a bet of 100, the boxes above the reels read GRAND 100K, MAJOR 12.50K and MINI 2.50K. That is 1,000x, 125x and 25x the bet. The values are fixed multiples, so they move with the bet rather than growing over time.

The Gold 777

The gold 777 is the top symbol of the paytable, and it also appears in the middle of several of our winning combinations. In the 5,000 spin it sat in the centre of the diagonal between a single red 7 and a flaming 77, and the game paid that line at the flaming-sevens value. The info screen has a separate section for the wild symbol below the paylines; its text was cut off in our capture, so we do not describe the wild rules in detail.

The Numbers to Keep in Mind

A 96% return is in line with the market average. The GRAND at 1,000x is the largest figure the game shows, and it is well above the best line win of 100x for three gold sevens – so the bonus is where the big results are.

The line game is steady rather than wild: with only nine symbols on the screen and five lines, a spin either pays one or two lines or nothing at all. In our session the smaller wins landed between 4x and 20x, and the best results outside the bonus were the 5,000 and 10,000 spins.
