10000 Wishes Overview10000 Wishes is a five-reel, three-row video slot with 10 fixed paylines, built by the Alchemy Gaming studio and distributed through Microgaming (today Games Global). It was released on 20 April 2021, with an RTP of 96.27% and medium volatility according to SlotCatalog. The name is also the headline number: the top fixed jackpot pays 10,000x the stake, and that is the game’s maximum win. SlotCatalog lists bets from $0.10 to $25 per spin. The figures below come from our own demo session, played at a base bet of 25, and at 625 when Power Mode was switched on. A Desert Night and a Genie’s LampThe reels stand in a desert of sand dunes, shown at dusk in the base game and under a purple night sky in Power Mode. Four jackpot boxes run along the top of the screen, and the 10000 WISHES logo sits under the reels. The premium symbols come straight out of an Arabian tale: a golden genie lamp, a treasure chest, a green spell book, a blue potion and a pink medallion. The low symbols are the four card suits and a pink orb. Anyone who has played Alchemy’s Wheel of Wishes will recognise the setting and the cast – this is its sister game with a different set of jackpots. The PaytableAt our 25 bet the lamp is the top symbol, paying 1,250 for five (50x the bet), 125 for four and 75 for three. The chest pays 625, 100 and 50, the book 375, 87.50 and 45, the potion 200, 75 and 37.50, and the medallion 125, 62.50 and 25. The low symbols are much smaller: five spades pay 87.50, five hearts or diamonds 75, five clubs 62.50 and five orbs 50. Because the lamp pays 50x the bet on one line, five lamps on all ten lines would add up to 500x – the highest line win the reels themselves can produce. Paylines and RulesThe rules page shows the 10 lines and a few points worth knowing. Only the highest win on each line is paid, and wins run from left to right – except for the scatter, which pays in any position. Scatter wins are added to line wins and are multiplied by the total bet excluding Power Mode, and bonus wins are added to line wins as well. Power SpinsThe whole game turns on the Power Spin. Land at least three Power Wheel scatters and the next spin becomes a Power Spin: a giant 3x3 mega symbol lands in the middle of the grid, and reels 1 and 5 transform into a randomly chosen high-value symbol. When the three centre reels and the two outer reels match, most of the ten lines pay at once. In the base game we landed three Power Wheel scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5, which paid a scatter win of 50 (2x the bet) on the way into the feature. Power Mode: 25x the BetThe POWER MODE button on the left changes the game completely. The pop-up spells it out: it activates permanent Power Spins and the total bet increases 25x. Our 25 stake became 625 a spin. The rules add that Power Mode does not affect the symbol pays – you are paying for the guaranteed mega symbol on every spin, not for bigger payouts. The results show both sides. One Power Spin covered reels 1 and 5 with medallions and put a mega medallion in the centre, paying 550 – less than the 625 stake. Another did the same with spell books and paid 1,590, or about 2.5x the Power Mode bet. The Jackpot WheelIf the mega symbol in the middle lands as the Power Wheel itself, the giant 10000 WISHES wheel takes over the screen and the Jackpot Bonus starts. The wheel is divided into blue, purple, silver and gold segments, matching the colours of the four prizes on the jackpot ladder beside it. Every trigger ends with one of the jackpots, and the single gold segment at the top is the Mega. Four Fixed JackpotsThe four prizes are fixed multiples of the base stake. At our 25 bet the screen showed:
One detail from our screenshots matters here: the jackpot boxes showed exactly the same values at the 625 Power Mode bet as at the 25 base bet. In other words, the jackpots follow the base stake, not the Power Mode price. Measured against 625, the Mega is worth 400x and the Mini only pays back the cost of one spin. Is Power Mode Worth It?Power Mode puts the mega symbol on every spin, and with it every chance of the Power Wheel landing in the centre. The price is 25 base spins for each one. Since the symbol pays and the jackpots stay the same, it is a way to speed up the game rather than to raise its ceiling – our 550 result on a 625 bet shows how quickly it can cost money when the mega symbol does not match the outer reels. Who Is It For?10000 Wishes suits players who like a single clear goal. Most of the base game is a wait for the Power Spin, and the real prize is the Jackpot Wheel, where a guaranteed jackpot and a 10,000x Mega are on the line. The medium volatility and the 96.27% RTP make it a reasonable choice for longer sessions at the base bet, with Power Mode kept as an occasional, expensive option.
