Power of Zeus Overview

Power of Zeus is a Greek mythology slot from Mancala Gaming, released on 28 August 2024. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 fixed paylines, and SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 95% and a maximum win of 53,000x the stake, with bets from 0.10 to 18. No volatility rating is published.

The game combines wilds with stacking multipliers, a Hold & Earn bonus with respins and four progressive jackpots. The figures below come from our own demo session, played at a total bet of DEM 600 – a line bet of DEM 30.

A Temple on Mount Olympus

The reels sit inside a white marble temple with golden trim, set high among the clouds. Zeus himself stands to the left of the grid, bearded and robed, holding a bolt of lightning that crackles across the screen. The Power of Zeus logo sits in the pediment above the reels, flanked by the four jackpot counters.

The premium symbols are a winged helmet, a purple and gold trophy cup, a green lyre with a golden frame and a blue amphora. The low symbols are the card ranks A, K, Q and J in red, purple and blue. Gold coins stamped with a winged horse carry cash values and are the key to the bonus, and a portrait of Zeus marked WILD substitutes for the paying symbols.

The Paytable

The paytable is printed in cash for the current bet. At DEM 600, five winged helmets pay DEM 20,000 (33.3x), four DEM 10,000 and three DEM 4,000. The trophy cup pays 10,000, 4,000 and 2,000, the lyre 5,000, 2,000 and 1,600, and the amphora 2,000, 1,600 and 1,200.

The card ranks pay less: the A 1,600, 1,200 and 1,000, the K 1,200, 1,000 and 800, the Q 1,000, 800 and 600, and the J 800, 600 and 400. The paylines screen shows all 20 lines, including straight rows, V shapes and zigzags.

Wilds With Stacking Multipliers

The rules explain that in the base game the wild symbols carry stacking multipliers of x2 or x3, which multiply the win of every payline they are part of. They substitute for all symbols except the special ones.

Our captures show the effect clearly. A Zeus wild with an x2 badge on the second reel completed payline 15 for DEM 1,200 (2x), and an x2 wild on the third reel turned payline 7 into DEM 2,400 (4x). A third spin with gold coins, amphoras and letters paid DEM 1,600 (2.7x). Because the multiplier applies per payline, a single wild that sits on several lines can lift the whole spin.

Four Progressive Jackpots

Four counters above the reels show the jackpots: GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI. They grew steadily during our session – the GRAND from DEM 726,636 to DEM 727,140, the MAJOR from 117,521 to 117,629, the MINOR from 41,403 to 41,475 and the MINI from 10,023 to 10,059 – which confirms that they are true progressive pots rather than fixed prizes.

The jackpots are linked to the Hold & Earn bonus, where special symbols on the grid can award them.

The Hold & Earn Bonus

Enough gold coins on the reels start the bonus. In our round the coins landed across the grid together with cups, lyres and letters, and the game announced “Congratulations! You won 3 Respins!” The other symbols then clear, the coins lock in place, and a RESPIN counter at the top of the screen starts at 3.

In the usual Hold & Earn fashion, each new coin that lands stays on the grid and the counter goes back to three. Our round filled thirteen of the fifteen positions with gold coins and red temple symbols, and the running total above the reels stood at DEM 8,000 (13.3x) with two empty cells left. Filling the whole grid is the route to the largest prizes.

Two kinds of symbol filled the grid in our round. Eleven were the gold winged-horse coins, and two were red tiles showing a small temple, which stand out clearly against the gold. The game does not label them on the capture itself, but their design matches the temple on the jackpot panel above the reels.

What a Session Looks Like

Our base-game captures show a pattern of modest line wins lifted by the wild multipliers. Without a wild, three or four matching symbols on a line return a fraction of the stake; with an x2 or x3 wild in the middle of the line, the same combination is worth two or three times as much. Across our captures the balance moved between DEM 12,000 and DEM 19,200 on the DEM 600 bet.

The coins are the other thing to watch. They land on their own during the base game, and a spin with several coins scattered across the reels is the first sign that the bonus may be close.

Controls and Layout

The spin button sits to the right of the temple in a large round frame, with autoplay and the bet settings stacked beside it. The bottom bar shows the balance, the total bet and the running winnings, and a message line in the middle wishes you good luck or names the payline that has just paid – “Payline 15 pays DEM 1200.00” in one of our spins. The autoplay menu lets you set a number of rounds together with a loss limit.

Numbers and Limits

A 95% RTP is a little below the market average, and the 53,000x ceiling puts the top of the game far above its line wins – the best line win in the paytable is 33.3x the stake, so the big numbers can only come from the bonus and the progressive jackpots. The demo also shows a note that the total win is limited to DEM 554,372 due to operator requirements, a reminder that the maximum you can win depends on the casino’s own settings as well as on the game.

Who Should Play It

Power of Zeus suits players who like classic 20-line slots with a modern bonus on top. The multiplied wilds keep the base game lively, the Hold & Earn round is easy to follow, and the growing progressive jackpots give every session a long-term target.
