Cirque du Slots Overview

Cirque du Slots is a circus-themed video slot from Rival Gaming, released on 24 November 2015. It runs on five reels and three rows with 25 paylines. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 94.15% and coin values from 0.01 to 0.25; neither a volatility rating nor a confirmed top win is published.

The Show on the Reels

Rival describes a big-top stage where acrobats balance and tumble and a clown dazzles on stilts. The props – juggling pins and rings, a balance ball, a clown hat, a mask, a unicycle and the ringmaster’s top hat – make up the higher symbols, while 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace fill the rest of the reels. Our screenshots carry the “Act 1” banner under the logo, because the game is split into three acts.

Expanding Wild

The Green Acrobat is the wild. According to Rival, during regular play it expands vertically over the whole reel and adds a 3x multiplier. Two of our spins show exactly this: the acrobat filled reel 2 from top to bottom and helped to wins of 7.20 and 5.40 at a stake of 5.00.

Acts and Free Spins

Three or more Unicycle icons move the game on to the next act, and three or more Clown icons start the free spins. Each act changes the bonus round, as Rival explains:

• Act 1 – cannon acrobats perform drop sequences.
• Act 2 – tigers jumping through fire hoops become sticky symbols.
• Act 3 – one reel stays wild for the whole round.

Paytable

At a stake of 5.00 the paytable pays 120.00 for five of the top symbol, 25.00 for four and 6.00 for three. The low cards are far smaller: five 9s or 10s return 8.00 and three of them 0.40, which is exactly what one of our spins paid for a line of three 9s.

Playing the Game

The controls sit in a slim bar below the reels: the balance on the left, the line win and total win in the middle and the bet on the right, with the spin and autoplay buttons beside the reels. The menu opens the game information pages, where the full paytable and the rules of each act are listed. All 25 lines are always active, so the stake is the only setting to choose before a spin.
