Jogo do Bicho

Jogo do Bicho Overview

Jogo do Bicho is a lottery-style game from TaDa Gaming, based on the Brazilian “animal game”. SlotCatalog dates it to 26 January 2024 and lists a maximum win of 17,000x and bets from €0.10 to €10. No RTP or volatility figure is published for it.

The screens below come from our own demo session, played with tickets of 50.

Twenty-Five Animals

The board is a 5x5 grid of 25 animals, and each animal owns four consecutive two-digit numbers: the ostrich has 01–04, the eagle 05–08, the donkey 09–12, the butterfly 13–16 and the dog 17–20, down to the cow with 97–98–99–00. The line-up follows the traditional game, with the bear, bull, lion, tiger, pig, rooster and alligator among the other groups.

A JACKPOT meter sits above the grid. It moved from 5,703.18 to 5,856.57 during our session, so it grows with play.

The Traditional Game

The original jogo do bicho began in Rio de Janeiro in 1892 as a raffle at a city zoo, where each ticket carried an animal. It later grew into a street lottery built on the same 25 animals and their groups of four numbers, and TaDa’s version keeps that structure intact.

Five Bet Types

Tabs below the board choose the bet type: SIMPLE, DOUBLE, TRIPLE, QUADRA and PENTA. Each selection builds a ticket from that many animals, and the tickets appear in a list at the bottom left with their stake. The Random button fills a ticket automatically, Clear empties it, and Auto repeats the draw.

The Draw

After START, the game announces “Our Lucky Animals Are…” and reveals the drawn animals, each with a four-digit number. The numbers fit the traditional rule, where the last two digits decide the animal: Bear 3290 (90 is a bear number), Dog 0717 and Goat 4723 in one draw, Bull 6681, Butterfly 1215 and Lion 4662 in another.

Those two draws paid a TOTAL WIN of 50 and 100. A later draw revealed five animals – Turkey, Lion, Alligator, Elephant and Donkey – and ended with a BONUS chest worth 100.

Tickets, Controls and the Bonus Chest

The Bet button sets the stake per ticket – 50 in our session – and each ticket in the list shows its animals and its stake, so several tickets can run in the same draw. A win is added up in the TOTAL WIN panel over the draw screen.

The bonus arrives as a treasure chest that bursts open in a shower of coins. In our round it showed 100, the same as two tickets of 50. TaDa does not explain on screen what triggers it, so we only report what we saw.

Checking the Numbers

Every number we saw matched the traditional groups. In the five-animal draw, Turkey 2378 ends in 78, Lion 5361 in 61, Alligator 3457 in 57, Elephant 7745 in 45 and Donkey 1309 in 09 – each inside that animal’s four-number group. The earlier draws work the same way: 81 is a bull number, 15 a butterfly number and 62 a lion number.

That makes the game easy to verify from the screen: the last two digits tell you which animal was drawn, and the ticket list shows which of your animals were hit.

RTP and Maximum Win

No RTP or volatility figure is published for this game, so we do not quote one. The 17,000x maximum on SlotCatalog most likely belongs to the rarest outcomes of the higher bet types, since a SIMPLE bet on one animal is the easiest one to hit.

Who Should Play It

Jogo do Bicho suits players who like lottery draws more than spinning reels. The rules are easy to follow once the animal numbers are clear, and the five bet types give a simple way to trade win frequency for the size of the prize.
