The setting is a grand auction room. On both sides of the reels, rows of well-dressed bidders in evening gowns and tuxedos sit in red velvet chairs, some of them raising numbered paddles. Unlike many slots with cartoon graphics, The Auction House goes for a realistic, almost photographic look. The symbols are rendered like catalogue photos in dark bronze tones, and only the winning ones light up in gold, which gives every win the feel of a lot being picked out under a spotlight.
