Planet Guardian Overview

Planet Guardian is a KA Gaming cluster-pays game with a children’s-book look: a boy in a blue cape stands beside the reels holding a staff with a ringed planet on the end, and the symbols are small round creatures.

The layout is printed on the frame itself – 5x6 CLUSTERS runs vertically down the left-hand edge – and the board cascades, so a single spin resolves into a chain.

Theme and Graphics

The setting is a pastel alien landscape at dusk: lilac cliffs, banks of pink cloud, a few stars showing in a deep blue sky. The reel frame is built from rough stone blocks with glowing crystals set into its corners.

The symbols are cartoon creatures in purple, red, green and blue – round, large-eyed and entirely harmless-looking – with card letters in candy colours beneath them. A yellow chick hatching from an egg serves as the scatter.

Nine Bands, Not Three

Clusters are banded as 8–9, 10–11 and 12 or more, and the paytable runs to nine paying symbols plus the scatter.

At the 125.00 stake the purple creature leads at 5,000.00 for twelve or more, 2,500.00 for ten or eleven and 1,000.00 for eight or nine – that is 40x, 20x and 8x the bet.

The red creature follows at 2,500.00 / 1,000.00 / 250.00 (20x), the green at 1,500.00 / 500.00 / 200.00 (12x) and the blue at 1,200.00 / 250.00 / 150.00 (9.6x).

The letters descend in an unbroken ladder rather than sharing rungs, which is unusual: the ace at 1,000.00 for twelve or more, the king at 800.00, the queen at 500.00, the jack at 400.00 and the ten at 200.00. Against the bet that bottom rung is 1.6x, and an eight-symbol cluster of tens returns 25.00 – a fifth of the stake.

No two symbols pay the same at any level. On a game with nine paying symbols that is a rarity, and it means cluster size and symbol identity both matter on every board.

The Scatter Pays From Four

The hatching chick pays 2,500.00 for six or more, 625.00 for five and 375.00 for four – 20x, 5x and 3x the stake.

Two things stand out. It pays from four rather than the usual three, and its top rung matches the red creature’s best cluster while needing only six symbols rather than twelve.

So the scatter is simultaneously the trigger and one of the more valuable things on the board – a pattern that turns up repeatedly in KA Gaming’s catalogue.

Two Readouts, Two Numbers

The interface is worth a paragraph because it makes cascading legible in a way most games do not.

The banner across the top names the cluster that has just paid – WINS 25.00, WINS 80.00, WINS 150.00, WINS 1,000.00 in the captures – while the gold box beneath it carries the running total for the whole chain: 20.38, 53.17, 124.70, 953.70 and 1,388.71.

Watching both at once tells you something a single number cannot: whether a spin is one good cluster or a long chain of small ones. The 1,388.71 total, for instance, sits above a banner reading only 25.00 – so that board had cascaded many times over.

What the Session Produced

The two large ones both came from a single colour taking over the grid: one board packed with purple creatures produced 953.70, and a board of tens and green creatures cascading repeatedly produced 1,388.71.

The balance drifts between 89,353 and 90,903 across the captures – steady, with no lurches in either direction.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win

The RTP is 96%, right at the modern standard, and volatility is rated Medium-High. KA Gaming does not publish a maximum win multiplier for this title, so that field is left empty here rather than filled with an estimate.

Medium-High matches the captures. Something pays on most spins – the cascades see to that – but with the cheapest symbols returning a fifth of the stake for a minimum cluster, most of those results are small losses. The two spins above seven times the bet came from saturation rather than from a premium symbol.

The feature list adds free spins with a multiplier and additional free spins to the cascade, so the upside sits where it usually does on this format: in a round where the chain runs long enough for a growing multiplier to matter.
