Moon Princess Stargazing Overview

Moon Princess Stargazing is the latest entry in Play’n GO’s long-running Moon Princess series: a 5x5 grid with cluster-style wins, a 94.2% RTP with configurable ranges, high volatility and a maximum win of 10,000x the bet – a figure the game prints on its own pay table.

All the figures below were read from demo play at a 100.00 stake.

Theme and Graphics

The setting is a night sky over a swirling purple galaxy, with a shooting star crossing the top-left corner and the reel frame drawn as an ornate gold brooch. A magical-girl heroine in a blue sailor uniform stands to the right of the board, wand raised; during the free spins she is replaced by a glowing white silhouette of herself.

The symbols are the series’ familiar set: three princess portraits in star-shaped frames, plus green orbs, blue stars, pink hearts and gold bells. It is bright, busy and unmistakably anime, and the 5x5 board gives all of it room to breathe.

How Wins Work

The pay table states the rules in three lines, and they are worth quoting because this is not a payline game:

Wins are achieved with 3 or more matching symbols in a row, horizontally or vertically. The same symbol can be used in different winning combinations. Winning symbols are removed and remaining symbols drop down. A win multiplier is increased for each drop.

So a symbol sitting at the crossing point of a horizontal and a vertical run pays into both – and every cascade raises the multiplier before the next one resolves.

The Multiplier Ladder

That multiplier is displayed as a three-slot ladder in the top-left corner, and it climbs visibly through a cascade chain. The captures catch it at x1 on a fresh spin, then x3, then x4 with x5 waiting on the next drop.

★ One capture shows the ladder reading x100 in the left-hand slot – the top of the scale – which is how a game whose best symbol pays 300 on a 100.00 stake can reach a 10,000x ceiling. The symbols do not get better; the multiplier does.

Three Princesses

The premium symbols are the princesses – STAR, NOVA and ASTRA, in yellow, purple and green – and they share a pay ladder: 300 for five, 100 for four and 50 for three at the 100.00 stake. The pay table lists a fourth “any princess” entry at the same values, so mixed princess runs also pay.

The four standard symbols – orb, star, heart and bell – return 100 for five and scale down from there. Against a 100.00 spin, the best single combination in the game is worth three times the bet before any multiplier is applied.

Wilds and Their Unusual Rule

The wild substitutes for all symbols, and it carries one rule the series has always used but rarely explains so plainly: WILD symbols are removed from the grid if no other symbols are remaining.

The Collected Values

Blue ovals carrying numbers appear on the board during play – the captures show 40 and 80 – sitting among the ordinary symbols rather than replacing them.

They behave as collectable values that feed the spin total, and they are the reason a board with only a handful of matching symbols can still pay 137 or 260 on the 100.00 stake.

Free Spins

The bonus is announced with a small panel in the top-right corner: FREE SPIN 1 OF 1. That is not a typo – the round in the captures was a single spin, with the heroine transformed into her glowing form and the multiplier ladder already sitting at x4.

A one-spin round sounds thin, but on a cascading grid a single spin can resolve into a dozen drops with the multiplier climbing through each one. The captured spin paid 260.00 – 2.6x the stake – with an 80-value oval on the board.

The Wand Feature

One capture shows a large golden star bursting open in the middle of the grid, with a spiral pattern inside it and stars scattering outward across the board. The multiplier ladder beside it sits back at x1, and the spin paid 80.00.

That is the series’ signature random feature: the princess intervenes on a losing board, transforming or clearing symbols to create a win that the reels did not produce on their own. It arrives without warning, which is precisely the point – on a grid game with long dry spells, a random rescue keeps the session from flatlining.

Reading the Board

The interface is Play’n GO’s standard: stake chips along the bottom – 10.00, 20.00, 40.00, 50.00 and 100.00 – with the active one highlighted in red, the balance to the left, and a circular spin control in a gold brooch frame on the right.

What the Session Produced

The captured spins paid 10.00, 110.00, 137.00 and 260.00 against the 100.00 bet – a tenth of the stake at the bottom and 2.6x at the top.

The balance drifted from 23,910.00 down to 21,500.00 over the run. That is the honest picture of a high-volatility grid game between big chains: small clears, small returns, and a multiplier that resets every spin.

Who Should Play It

Moon Princess Stargazing suits players who already know the series and want the same cascade-and-multiplier loop on a bigger board. Five rows rather than five reels means more room for chains, and the ladder makes the progress visible.

The 94.2% RTP is the caveat, and it is a significant one for a game this volatile – check the information panel for the version your casino runs. And be realistic about the ceiling: reaching 10,000x needs a board clear with the multiplier near the top of its scale, not one good cascade.
