Giga Match Phantasmal Overview

Giga Match Phantasmal is a RubyPlay pay-anywhere game on a six-by-five grid with a haunted-house theme, and it does something almost none of its contemporaries do: its four jackpot tiers are progressive.

They are not multiples of your stake and they are not fixed cash. They climb, and the demo catches them climbing.

Theme and Graphics

The setting is a purple gothic mansion with lit windows, candles guttering on either side of the reels and a coffin propped against the wall. A hollow-eyed medium in evening dress leans over the top of the grid with a crystal ball between his hands.

The symbols are a horror-film cast – a purple vampire, a red-hooded figure, a blonde doll, a clown – with card letters in ghostly green and red beneath them.

Two panels flank the reels: a Match Blitz ladder on the left and the four jackpot plates on the right. All figures below come from demo play at a 10.00 EUR bet.

The Jackpots Are Progressive

This is the finding worth the article. Across three captures taken at the same 10.00 stake, the four plates read:

Same bet, different figures, rising each time. These are progressive pools rather than fixed multiples, and the Grand gained more than eleven thousand across a short demo session.

Note also that the four tiers move together in fixed proportion. Divide the Grand by the Mini in each row and the answer is 200 every time; the Major is always a tenth of the Grand and the Minor a tenth of the Major. So the ladder keeps its shape exactly while the whole thing inflates.

That matters practically. On a progressive game the right time to play is when the pools are high, and here a single number – the Mini – tells you where all four stand.

Match Blitz

The panel on the left is headed Match Blitz, and it is a ladder keyed to a match count from two up to six, with a cash value beside each rung.

Those values move too. Across the same three captures the six-match rung reads 6,817.71, then 6,760.48, then 5,294.09, and the two-match rung reads 428.33, 425.49 and 326.28.

Against the 10.00 stake the top rung is worth roughly 530 to 680 times the bet depending on when you look, and even the bottom rung is worth thirty to forty times it.

Unlike the jackpots, these figures go down as well as up across the captures – so the Match Blitz ladder is being recalculated rather than simply accumulating. Whichever way it moves, the spread between its rungs is roughly two-fold at each step: 428, 855, 1,695, 3,331, 6,818.

The Crystal Ball

The medium’s crystal ball is the multiplier display, and it shows a value on every spin. The demo catches it reading x7 on one board, with a ROUND WIN figure of 19.00 beneath it.

On another spin the ball shows a +100.00 instead of a multiplier, with matching 100.00 values floating over two positions on the grid – so the ball can add cash directly as well as multiply.

Having the mechanic live in a prop the character is holding, rather than in a status bar, is a nice piece of interface design. There is never any question about where to look.

Pay Anywhere on Thirty Positions

Matching symbols are counted anywhere on the board, banded as 8–9, 10–11 and 12 or more, and the game names the count in a strip beneath the reels: MATCH 8 PAYS 5.00 on one spin, MATCH 8 PAYS 100.00 on another.

At the 10.00 stake the vampire leads at 400.00 for twelve or more, 200.00 for ten or eleven and 100.00 for eight or nine – that is 40x, 20x and 10x. The hooded figure follows at 250.00 / 100.00 / 25.00, the doll at 150.00 / 50.00 / 20.00 and the clown at 120.00 / 20.00 / 15.00.

The letters descend from the ace at 100.00 for twelve or more to the ten at 20.00 – twice the stake for a twelve-symbol cluster of the commonest symbol, and 0.2x for eight of them.

The demo’s results run 4.00, 35.00, 54.17 and 278.00 against the 10.00 bet – 0.4x, 3.5x, 5.4x and 27.8x. The largest came from a board where green Q and 10 symbols had taken over most of the grid during the free games.

The round runs to 15 free games and extends: the demo shows the counter at 3 of 15 early on and 10 of 20 later, so five spins were added along the way.

The 2,000x ceiling sits oddly alongside progressive pools that were already worth two to three thousand times a 10.00 stake when the captures were taken.
