Evil Wizard Cat Overview

Evil Wizard Cat is a KA Gaming slot on a five-by-five grid with 25 paylines, and the character on the left of the reels is exactly what the title promises: a ginger tabby in a blue wizard’s robe and pointed hat, leaning on a staff.

Two things stand out. The book at 50x is two and a half times the next-best symbol, which is a very steep first step for a paytable. And at the bottom, four of the five royals are paired off at identical values – the king and queen are interchangeable, as are the jack and ten.

Read the low end against the stake and the picture sharpens. Five kings pay 250.00 on a 125.00 bet – twice the money – and five jacks pay 150.00, which is 1.2x. Three of a kind at the bottom of the table returns 15.00, or an eighth of the stake. A payline win here is not automatically a profitable spin.

The Eight-Pointed Star

The star is the wild, and the way it behaves is the game’s central idea: it is an expanding symbol that spreads in up to eight directions – one for each of its points.

That is a genuinely different shape from the usual expanding wild. A wild that fills its own reel converts a column; a wild that spreads outward in eight directions converts a neighbourhood, reaching diagonally into the columns either side of it.

On a five-by-five grid with twenty-five lines woven through it, that difference compounds hard. A single star landing centrally can touch positions on three separate reels and three separate rows at once, and the demo shows several boards carrying two or three stars together.

It also explains the shape of the grid. Five rows by five reels is square, and a mechanic that radiates outward needs room in every direction – on a conventional five-by-three board, two of the eight directions would run straight off the edge from almost anywhere.
