Cash Grotto Overview

Cash Grotto: Hold the Jackpot is a Wazdan game with no paylines and no symbol combinations – twenty-four positions on a four-by-six grid, gold coins carrying cash values, and four jackpot plates down the right-hand side.

Its Grand pays 1,500x the bet, and 1,500x is the published maximum win. The top plate is the ceiling – provided you read it against the right number.

Theme and Graphics

The Jackpots Are Tied to the Base Bet

This is the detail that changes how the game should be played, and two captures settle it.

With Chance Level OFF the total bet reads 1,000.00 and the plates read Grand 1,500,000.00, Major 50,000.00, Minor 20,000.00 and Mini 10,000.00 – that is 1,500x, 50x, 20x and 10x.

With Chance Level x5 selected the total bet reads 5,000.00 – and the four plates read exactly the same figures. They have not moved.

So the ladder is calculated from the base stake, not from what you are actually paying. Turn the Chance Level to x5 and the Grand is worth 300x your outlay rather than 1,500x; at x10 it is worth 150x.

What the multiplier buys is frequency – a better chance of the round arriving. That is a real benefit, but the interface gives no sign that the prizes on the right have become relatively cheaper, because their printed values never change.

What the Coins Are Worth

The demo captures coin values of 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,200, 22,000 and 28,000.

Against the 1,000 base bet that is 1x to 28x per coin. The floor is the stake itself, which is generous by the standards of the format – on many hold-and-win games the cheap coins are worth a fraction of the bet.

The spread within a single board is what decides a round. One capture shows a grid carrying a 22,000 and a 28,000 alongside a dozen 1,000s; another shows nothing above 6,000. The two boards look almost identical until you read the numbers.

Red MYSTERY plates sit among the coins, labelled stick to explode, and a variant marked JACKPOT MYSTERY appears in the later captures – so the jackpot tiers arrive as symbols during the round rather than being awarded at the end.
