20 Tropical Fruits Boost Overview

20 Tropical Fruits Boost is the widest of Felix Gaming’s standard Tropical Fruits Boost builds: five reels, 20 paylines, a 96.36% RTP and very high volatility. Felix does not publish a maximum win figure for this version, though its 5 and 10-line siblings are both capped at 2,000x.

All the figures below were read from demo play at an 18.00 stake.

Theme and Graphics

The artwork is shared across the whole series: a jungle clearing with broad leaves and hibiscus, a pale rock face behind the grid, gold coins stacked in the corner. The symbols are photographic fruit – pineapple, dragon fruit, mango, passion fruit, lime – with a red seven and a purple BAR carried over from the classic fruit machines this series is imitating.

The wild is a cocktail in a coconut with a paper umbrella. The only visual difference between the four versions is the number printed beside the logo, so it is worth checking you are in the right one before you spin.

The Boost Tags

Symbols land carrying a x2 tag, and the strip under the reels spells out every calculation: BOOST LINE 6: 5 X PINEAPPLE X 2 = 180.00.

That capture is a good example of what twenty lines buys you. Five pineapples on line six, with boost tags attached, paid 180.00 on an 18.00 stake – ten times the bet – and the spin total reached 189.00 once the smaller lines were added.

Expanding Wilds and Respins

The rules are the same across the series, and the paytable states them precisely: the wild appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4, expands to fill every position on its reel, and activates the respin feature. Up to three wilds can appear, awarding a maximum of three respins. The expanded wild substitutes for everything except the scatter.

With twenty lines running, an expanded wild touches far more paying combinations than it does on the five-line version – every row it covers is part of four times as many lines. That is the structural reason this build is the most volatile of the three.

The Scatter Is Still the Prize

The yellow starfruit flower pays from any position on any reel. At the 18.00 stake it returns 90.00 for three, 360.00 for four and 9,000.00 for five.

★ Convert that and you get the series’ constant: 500x the bet for five scatters, exactly as in the 5 and 10-line versions. Whatever else changes between the builds, the scatter ladder does not – it is 5x, 20x and 500x in all of them.

The Line Count Changes What a Line Is Worth

This is the single most useful thing to know about the series, and three pay tables side by side make it plain. Five red sevens pay:

100x the bet on the 5-line version (750.00 at a 7.50 stake), 50x on the 10-line (850.00 at 17.00), and 25x here (450.00 at 18.00).

Every doubling of the line count halves what each line returns relative to your stake. You are not buying bigger wins by playing the wider version – you are buying more chances at smaller ones, and accepting a sharper distribution in return.

What the Symbols Pay

At 18.00 a spin: the red seven pays 450.00 for five, 72.00 for four and 18.00 for three – the stake back. The BAR follows at 225.00, the dragon fruit and pineapple at 90.00, and the passion fruit, mango and lime at 45.00 each.

Three of a kind sits between 2.25 and 18.00 across the set, so most ordinary wins here are a fraction of the bet. The board relies on volume: with twenty lines, several small wins usually land together.

What the Session Produced

The captured spins paid 90.00 from three scatters – five times the stake – and 189.00 from the boosted pineapple line, ten and a half times. The balance moved from 980.80 down through 577.60, 496.60 and 487.60 across the run.

That is a fair picture of very high volatility on a twenty-line board: the wins arrive in clusters, and between them the balance erodes steadily.

Line Boost: What It Actually Does

The green LINE BOOST plaque opens the best screen in the game, and it is far more specific than the name suggests. The header states it plainly: BOOST YOUR FAVORITE LINES WITH X2, X3 OR X5 MULTIPLIER.

Below it sits a grid of all twenty paylines, each drawn as a miniature reel diagram with three buttons – x2, x3, x5 – and its own BET field. You pick which individual lines to strengthen and at what level, and each choice adds its own cost.

The capture shows a mixed configuration: line 4 boosted at x5 for 0.45, line 13 at x2 for 0.45, line 17 at x3 for 0.90, with the rest untouched at 0.00. The running TOTAL BET reads 10.80 FUN, and the panel offers CLEAR, CONFIRM and ALL LINES buttons underneath.

★ That is a genuinely unusual piece of design. Most slots sell you a bonus round; this one sells you a stake structure, line by line, and shows the arithmetic while you build it. Boost three lines and you pay for three; press ALL LINES and the total climbs accordingly.

It also means two players at the same nominal bet can be playing very different games – one spreading a small boost across twenty lines, another loading x5 onto a single favourite. The total bet field is the only number that matters, and it updates live.

What the Wilds Produced

The respin chain is where the twenty lines earn their keep. One capture shows three expanded cocktail wilds down the middle reels with a single x2 tag beside them, and the whole grid webbed with green win lines – a star pattern crossing itself several times over – for 58.50 at the 18.00 stake.

A second shows the same setup with three x2 tags scattered across the board, paying 108.00, or six times the bet. On five lines those same boards would have paid a fraction of that; the wilds have not changed, but there are four times as many lines for them to complete.

Which Version to Play

If you are choosing between the builds, the numbers point in different directions. This one has the best published RTP of the three at 96.36% – slightly ahead of the 5-line’s 96.31% and well ahead of the 10-line’s 94.69% – but it also carries the highest volatility rating.

So: the 5-line version for a gentle session, this one for the best return with the widest swings, and the 10-line only if you prefer its pacing enough to accept the lowest RTP of the set.
