Goblin Cave Overview

Goblin Cave is a pay-anywhere slot from Popiplay played on a 6x5 grid, with an RTP of 95.97%, a high volatility rating and a maximum win of 15,000x the bet. It was released on 14 August 2026.

The game uses no paylines. Wins come from 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the screen, winning symbols are cleared and replaced from above, and the free spins add multiplier symbols worth up to 100x.

Goblins at the Edge of a Wasteland

The grid is framed in rough timber lashed together with rope, with horned skulls on the corners. Behind it lies a dusty goblin camp of wooden huts and banners; in the free spins the scene moves inside the cave itself, where gold is piled on the floor and a cage hangs from a chain.

The high-paying symbols are goblin portraits – a green warrior with a braid, a crowned red chieftain, a grinning orange scout and a blue-skinned brute – while the low end is covered by stone-carved card royals from 10 to A. A signpost to the left of the reels keeps a running list of every win in the current spin.

Pay Anywhere and Refilling

Any 8 or more identical symbols pay, wherever they sit. After a win the symbols involved disappear, the remaining ones drop down, and new ones fall in to fill the gaps. The process repeats until no new win appears, and every step is added to the total for the spin.

That chaining is where most of the base game value comes from. In one of our spins the first clear paid 6.40, the next 12.80, and the sequence finished at 23.20 on a 20.00 bet. Another ran through two wins of 14.40 and 16.00 for 30.40.

The Scatter and the Free Spins

The Scatter is a round shield carrying a red rune. It can appear anywhere and also pays on its own. Landing 4, 5 or 6 of them awards 10, 20 or 30 free spins.

Multiplier Symbols

The multiplier symbol is a round wooden disc that only appears during the free spins. When it lands on a winning spin it takes a random value, with the rules listing figures from 2x up to 100x. When several multipliers land together their values are added up before they are applied.

The effect on our session was immediate: on the very first free spin a x5 disc landed, the spin’s win read 100.80 and the running total, including the Scatter pay, stood at 121.80 – from a bet of just 7.00.

Chance Booster

The Chance Booster is a switch under the skulls on the left. It raises the chance of triggering the free spins by adding a fixed percentage to the bet, and it cannot be used during the free spins themselves.
