GemBlitz Bonanza OverviewGemBlitz Bonanza is a compact 3x3 hold-and-win game from Mancala Gaming, built entirely around diamonds, jackpot stars and sticky symbols rather than paylines. It has an RTP of 95%, a maximum win of 5,000x the stake, and was released on 29 October 2024. There is no conventional paytable of fruits or card ranks here. Every symbol on the reels is either a diamond carrying a cash value, a jackpot star, or one of a few special pieces, and the game is about gathering them on a nine-position grid. Mancala does not publish a volatility rating for the game, so we have not given one. All figures below come from demo play at a 100.00 stake in the demo’s DEM units. A Pile of DiamondsThe presentation is bright and simple. A mountain of blue, green and pink gems spills over the top of the grid, and the nine positions sit in a gold-edged frame against a violet background. The GemBlitz Bonanza logo, a large sparkling diamond, sits on the left above the jackpot ladder. The empty positions carry a faint violet motif, so filled and empty cells are easy to tell apart. During the bonus the empty cells turn red, which again makes it obvious how much of the grid is left to fill. The Jackpot Ladder Is the PaytableThe four jackpots are listed on the left of the grid, and at a 100.00 stake they read: GRAND: 500,000.00 (5,000x). MAJOR: 5,000.00 (50x). MINOR: 2,000.00 (20x). MINI: 1,000.00 (10x). The Grand is exactly the published maximum win of 5,000x, so here the top jackpot is the ceiling itself. The in-game paytable adds that the total win has been limited to DEM 541,008.00 due to operator requirements, a figure slightly above the Grand at this stake. The Major, Minor and Mini also appear on the reels as coloured stars: a pink star for the Major, a blue star for the Minor and a green star for the Mini. Each pays its jackpot once when it lands. Two Kinds of DiamondThe cash symbols come in two types, and the paytable lists their ranges separately. A gold-framed diamond carries a value between 500 and 1,500 at a 100.00 stake, that is 5x to 15x. A plain diamond carries between 100 and 1,000, or 1x to 10x. In our captures the framed diamonds showed 800.00 and 500.00, and the plain ones 500.00, 300.00 and 200.00, with one plain diamond at 1,100.00 during the bonus. The values are printed directly on the gems, so you always know what a symbol is worth. Sticky Symbols and Claim WinThe paytable explains that sticky symbols can appear during the base game and stay on the reels until the end of the bonus game. They can also appear as part of the Claim Win feature, in which case their value accumulates with every spin until the feature ends. This is visible in the base game. A diamond at the top-centre position carried a small counter above it, reading 19 / 20 in one capture and 3 / 20 in another, and a running total of 7,300.00 sat above that cell as the sticky value grew. Two further special pieces appear in the base game. A gold Surprise safe hides an unknown prize, and a golden piggy bank sits alongside the diamonds, though what it collects is not shown on the screens we captured. The Respin BonusWhen enough bonus symbols land, a You won 3 Respins screen appears, and the game switches to the familiar hold-and-win format. Every symbol already on the grid stays in place, the empty cells turn red, and the counter at the top starts at RESPINS 3. In our bonus, the grid started with a Surprise safe, a Jackpot Surprise safe, and diamonds worth 800, 500, 500, 200 and 1,100. Over the respins the Jackpot Surprise resolved into a blue MINOR star worth 2,000, and the Surprise safe became a 300.00 diamond. By the time the counter reached RESPINS 0, seven of the nine positions were filled. Two empty cells remained, which is typical of the format: filling the whole 3x3 grid is the hard part, and that is where the biggest prizes live. Buy BonusThe Buy Bonus Feature window offers 3 Respins with a chance of winning the Grand Jackpot. At a 100.00 stake per spin the total cost is 4,400.00, which is 44x the stake. Who Should Play ItGemBlitz Bonanza is for players who like hold-and-win games stripped down to the essentials. There are no paylines to follow and no low-value symbols to wade through: every spin is about diamonds and jackpots on nine positions. The trade-offs are a below-average RTP of 95% and a game whose real value is concentrated in the respin bonus and the Grand. Anyone who enjoys the format will find it quick and easy to read; anyone who wants a varied base game will find it thin.
