Galaxy Glitter Overview

Galaxy Glitter is a space-themed gem slot from NetGame, released on 8 May 2024. It runs on 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines that pay in both directions. According to NetGame’s own game data, the RTP is 96.15%, the volatility is medium and the maximum win is 1,300x the bet.

The formula will be familiar to fans of classic star-and-gem slots: an expanding wild that locks in place and gives free re-spins, wins from left and right, and nothing else to distract from the reels. NetGame adds one modern extra – a Buy Feature that guarantees one or two wilds on the next spin.

Design and Symbols

The reels float over a deep purple and red nebula, with the glowing Galaxy Glitter logo at the top and the round spin, autoplay and turbo buttons on the right. The symbols are bright crystals and old slot-machine icons, and they glow and sparkle when they pay.

The top symbol is the golden BAR planet, followed by the red lucky 7. Five gemstones make up the rest of the paytable: the blue, pink and green gems, the orange crystal shard and the purple gem.

Paytable

At a bet of 10 FUN, five BAR symbols pay 250, four pay 200 and three pay 50. The lucky 7 pays 120, 60 and 25. Among the gems, the blue one pays 60 for five, the pink one 50 and the green one 40, while the orange and purple gems pay 25.

A full line of BARs is therefore worth 25x the bet. Since several lines can win at the same time, and every line can pay in both directions, a screen full of one symbol pays much more than a single line.

Win Both Ways

Every one of the 10 lines pays from left to right and from right to left. A five of a kind is paid twice, once in each direction. For three or four matching symbols, the leftmost or the rightmost reel must be part of the win. Only the highest win on each line in each direction counts. In one of our spins, pink gems filled the three reels on the right and paid 68 FUN on a 10 FUN bet.

Expanding Wild and Re-spins

The wild is a multicoloured star, and it appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4. It substitutes for all symbols, and when it lands it expands to fill the whole reel. The expanded wild then locks in place and triggers a re-spin while the other reels spin again.

If another wild lands during the re-spin, it expands and locks too, and you get a new re-spin. The rules limit this to three re-spins in a row. The best case is all three middle reels covered by wilds, which turns every line into a win. One of our screenshots shows two expanded wild reels on reels 2 and 4 between columns of red sevens, and another shows a single wild reel on the fourth reel that paid 45 FUN.

Buy Feature

The round Buy Feature button on the left gives you two options for the next spin. For 10x the bet, one wild is guaranteed to appear; for 50x the bet, you get two. On our 10 FUN bet this meant 100 FUN and 500 FUN. The guaranteed wilds expand and lock just like normal ones, so the purchase also includes the re-spins that follow. The buy option may not be available at every casino.

Game Statistics

NetGame publishes more detailed figures than most studios. The hit frequency is 18.2%, so roughly one spin in five or six pays. The wild feature triggers on average once every 15 spins, and a big win comes about once every 122 spins. The maximum exposure is capped at €250,000.
