Empress of Flame 20

Empress of Flame 20 Overview

Empress of Flame 20 is an Asian themed video slot from Foxi (Fazi), made by its PlayNet studio and released on 7 September 2026. It plays on 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 paylines, and the lines pay both ways – from left to right and from right to left.

The in-game rules state an RTP of 95.544% and a maximum multiplier of x1,700. The volatility is medium, and bets range from 0.10 to 100 per spin. Some listings show an RTP of 96.54%, so check the rules in your casino before you play. There are no free spins and no bonus buy: the whole game is built around a golden dragon Wild that expands, holds its reel and gives you a free respin.

Theme and Graphics

The reels stand in an ornate golden frame in front of a Chinese pagoda. Pink cherry blossom branches hang over the scene, red paper lanterns glow in the air, and misty mountains rise under a red evening sky. The game logo with the title in golden letters sits above the reels.

The symbols fit the story of a fire empress: the Empress herself in a red robe, a golden Gong, a red Fan and Lantern, and four kinds of shiny dragon eggs in purple, red, green and blue. The Wild is a golden dragon, and when it lands, flames run along the whole reel.

Symbols and Paytable

At a bet of 100, the paytable shows these values for five, four and three of a kind:

• Empress: 5,000, 2,500 and 500 – 50x the bet for five,
• Gong: 2,500, 1,000 and 250,
• Fan and Lantern: 1,000, 250 and 100,
• Purple and Red Egg: 750, 150 and 50,
• Green and Blue Egg: 500, 125 and 50.

All pays are on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost or the rightmost reel, and only the highest win per line and direction is paid. In our session, three green eggs on reels 3, 4 and 5 paid 100, counted from the right side, and red fans on reels 3, 4 and 5 paid 300 on several lines on a 100 bet. The low-paying eggs land often, while the Empress and the Gong are the symbols that make a real difference.

Paylines and Pays Both Ways

The 20 fixed lines are shown in the paytable as patterns on a 5x3 grid. Because every line pays in both directions, a combination on reels 3, 4 and 5 counts just as much as one on reels 1, 2 and 3. This doubles the number of ways to complete a line, and it works especially well with the expanding Wilds on the middle reels.

Expanding Dragon Wild

The golden dragon Wild can land only on reels 2, 3 and 4. When it appears, it covers its whole reel and substitutes for all symbols on that reel. A single Wild reel already connects many lines: in our session, a dragon on reel 3 connected the symbols on both sides and paid 550.

Wild Respins

Every Wild also holds the reel on which it appears and triggers a free respin of the other reels. This is where the good wins come from, because a Wild that lands in the respin also expands, so you can end up with two full Wild reels. With dragons on reels 3 and 4, eggs on the outer reels paid 1,600.

Our best result came the same way: two full dragon reels in the middle, gongs on reel 2 and reel 5, and lines in both directions. The spin paid 14,300 on a 100 bet – 143x the bet.

Game Controls

The bet is set with the minus and plus buttons in the Total Bet field on the left, and the current win and the balance are shown in the middle of the bottom panel. The Menu button opens the paytable, the paylines and the rules, and the Auto button starts autoplay. In autoplay mode, all wins are collected automatically and added to your balance. The icons in the top bar switch the sound, the full-screen mode and the quick spin on and off.

Max Win

The maximum multiplier in the game rules is x1,700. At the maximum bet of 100, this means a top win of 170,000.
