How we rate games

Every slot is scored on the same four criteria, using the game's published data: RTP (40%), maximum win potential (25%), bonus features described in our review (30%) and how recent the release is (5%). Our editors can adjust a score after playing the game. Missing data counts as neutral. The score reflects the game's numbers and features, not your chances of winning; slots are games of chance, so please play responsibly.

Big Banker Bonanza Overview

Big Banker Bonanza is a money-themed video slot from NetGame, released on 29 May 2024. It plays on a 5x5 grid with 50 fixed paylines, and NetGame’s official game data lists an RTP of 96.14%, medium volatility and a maximum win of 5,000x the stake.

The game has three different wild symbols, a free spins round in which the wild grows as it collects symbols, and a Buy Bonus button. NetGame puts the hit frequency at 20.5% and the feature hit rate at 1 in 150 spins.

A Street Full of Money

The reels stand in the middle of a sunny city street, with a cinema and pink buildings on the left, and a bank, a clock and a hotel on the right, all under a skyline of glass towers. The high-paying symbols tell the story of big-city finance: the Banker in a grey suit, a lady with dark curls, a red vintage car, a money bag and a gold pocket watch. The card ranks A, K, Q and J fill the lower end.

Paytable and Paylines

Wins pay for three to five matching symbols on one of the 50 paylines, starting from the leftmost reel. The in-game paytable shows the following values at the 10 EUR bet of our session:

  • Banker: 200 for five, 40 for four, 8 for three
  • Lady: 120, 40 and 8
  • Red car: 80, 30 and 6
  • Money bag: 60, 20 and 4
  • Pocket watch: 40, 10 and 4
  • A and K: 20, 8 and 2; Q and J: 16, 6 and 2

On a 5x5 grid the 50 lines overlap heavily, so a single column of matching symbols often completes several lines at once. Our screenshots show typical base game results of 28, 50 and 60 EUR from stacks of pocket watches, lady portraits and letters.

Reading the 50 Paylines

The rules include a full diagram of all 50 lines. The first few run straight across the five rows, and the rest zigzag, dip into V shapes and climb diagonally across the grid. Because the grid has five rows instead of the usual three, many of the lines share positions, and a well-placed premium symbol can sit on several winning lines in the same spin. That is why even a modest cluster of letters or watches in our screenshots paid several times the value of a single line.

A 50 LINES label in the bottom right corner confirms that the number of lines is fixed; only the bet per spin can be changed, using the plus and minus buttons around the bet display.

Three Kinds of Wild

The Base Wild, a briefcase stuffed with banknotes, appears only in the base game on reels 2 to 5 and substitutes for all symbols. The Wild Banker lands on reel 1 only and also substitutes for everything – and if it appears together with a Base Wild, it awards 5 free spins.

The Bonus Wild replaces the Base Wild during the free spins. It substitutes like the others, but it also has a job: the Wild Banker collects these symbols to increase his size.

Free Spins

The free spins round starts with 5 spins. A meter on the left side of the screen fills with the Bonus Wilds that the Banker collects, and as it fills, the Banker grows from a single symbol into a larger block that covers more of the grid. In one of our screenshots he already filled a 2x2 area on reels 2 and 3 during the last spin, paying 52 EUR.

The round can also be extended: our session awarded 3 additional free spins in the middle of the feature. A large Banker on the first reels combined with a few stacked premium symbols is where the 5,000x maximum comes from.

Our Free Spins Session

Our screenshots follow one bonus round from start to finish. The balance stood at 1,272 EUR when the round was bought and dropped to 472 EUR after paying the 800 EUR price. Midway through, the game awarded three extra spins, and by the last spin the meter held several Bonus Wilds and the enlarged Banker delivered the 52 EUR hit mentioned above. It was not a big round – a reminder that the free spins do not always pay back their price – but it showed clearly how the Banker grows as the collection builds up.

Back in the base game, the Base Wild kept appearing on the right-hand reels. In one spin it landed on reel 4 next to a column of lady portraits and a row of K symbols, and the combination paid 60 EUR; in another it sat on reel 5 at the end of a row of money bags.

Buy Bonus

The Buy Bonus button on the left takes you straight to the feature. In our session, at a 10 EUR bet, the confirmation screen offered 5 free spins for 800 EUR – 80 times the stake. The buy is not available in every market.

What NetGame Says About the Game

NetGame describes Big Banker Bonanza as a trip into the high-stakes world of financial powerhouses, with a 5x5 grid that puts luxury and riches at the centre and several wild variations that raise the winning chances. According to the studio, the game has three wilds, four high and four low paying symbols, and its features are the free games, the additional wild and the Buy Bonus. The maximum exposure per game round is capped at 250,000 EUR.

Bets and RTP

NetGame lists a minimum bet of 0.25, and the game ran at 10 EUR per spin in our session. The 96.14% RTP is in line with the market average, and the medium volatility rating fits what we saw: frequent small line wins in the base game, with the bigger payouts saved for the free spins. NetGame puts the big win hit rate at 1 in 160 spins.

Our Verdict

Big Banker Bonanza takes a simple 50-line base game and gives it a clear goal: land the Banker together with a Base Wild and watch him grow in the free spins. The 5x5 grid gives more winning chances per spin than a standard 5x3 layout, and three distinct wilds keep the reels busy. It is not a high-risk game, which makes it a good fit for longer sessions.
