Only Anime OverviewOnly Anime is a compact five-reel slot developed by Redstone and distributed by Foxi (Fazi). It plays on a 5x3 grid with just 5 paylines, and it carries three progressive jackpots above the reels. It was released on 8 November 2024. Redstone does not publish an RTP, a volatility rating or a maximum win for this game, and none of the catalogues we checked list them either, so those figures are left blank here. Everything below was read from demo play at a 10.00 stake. A Tokyo Street in PastelThe background is a sunny city street drawn in the soft, flat colours of a slice-of-life anime: tall office blocks, green trees and a pale blue sky. The reels sit in a translucent frame, and pink cherry blossom petals drift across them whenever a line pays. The cast is the point of the game. Five anime girls act as the special symbols: a girl in a yellow tracksuit, a blonde in a swimsuit with a rubber duck on her shoulder, a pink-haired gamer with a controller, a red-haired student with books, and a purple-haired girl in a crop top. Around them are chubby round cats in blue, pink, white and black, two kinds of star, a red lucky 7, and the card letters J, K and A in neon outline. The Expanding GirlsThe girls are the wilds, and each one expands to fill its whole reel. In our captures they landed on reels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, so the expansion is not limited to the middle reels as it is in many Redstone games. When two of them land together, as they did in two of our screenshots, two full reels of wild sit on the grid at once. With only five lines, a single expanded reel matters a great deal. Every line crosses every reel, so a full-height wild takes part in all five lines at the same time. The PaytableThe paytable is stated in coins at the 10.00 stake, which makes the multipliers easy to read: The red 7 is the top symbol: 6,000 for five (600x), 800 for four and 200 for three. Five girls across the reels pay 4,000 (400x). The girls pay only for the full five. The blue and pink cats share a line and pay 1,000, 200 and 80. The gold star pays the same 1,000 and 200 for five and four, but only 30 for three. The white kitten pays 400, 100 and 60, and the card letters pay 200, 40 and 20. The red star is the odd one out. It pays only for three, at 200 (20x), which fits the scatter symbol listed among the game’s features. Read as multiples of the stake, the table is compact. Between the 7’s 600x and the card letters’ 20x there are only four other price points for five of a kind: the girls at 400x, the cats and the gold star sharing 100x, and the white kitten at 40x. Once the 7 is set aside, the best a regular symbol can do is 100x, so the expanding girls and the jackpots have to supply the excitement. The Three JackpotsA bar above the reels carries three progressive jackpots, marked with a diamond, a gold bar and a silver bar. They moved throughout our session: the diamond climbed from 10,980.38 to 11,085.32, the gold from 1,584.31 to 1,668.25. The silver jackpot rose from 392.15 to 396.31 and then dropped to 213.34, which means it paid out to someone and reset during our play. At the 10.00 stake the diamond jackpot was worth well over 1,000x, far more than anything on the paytable. The game does not show what triggers the jackpots, and we did not win one. What Our Session PaidThe wins we recorded were steady and small. A girl on reel 2 with cats around her paid 160.00 (16x), a pair of kittens paid 60.00, a line of J’s across a V-shaped line paid 200.00 (20x), two girls on reels 3 and 5 paid 80.00, and two girls side by side on reels 3 and 4 paid 100.00. The J line is a good example of how the grid works. Five J’s on a V-shaped line pay 200, exactly the five-of-a-kind value for the card letters, with no multiplier on top. The Five PaylinesThe lines are about as simple as a slot can offer: the three horizontal rows, plus a V running from the top corners down through the middle, and its mirror running up from the bottom corners. The two V-shaped lines are the ones that make the grid interesting. They are the only lines that use both the top and the bottom row on the same spin, so a symbol sitting in a corner of the grid can only pay through one of them. The middle row, by contrast, belongs to line 1 and to the centre of both V’s. Several of those wins came from a girl expanding next to a pair of matching symbols. In the 160.00 spin, for example, the girl on reel 2 linked a pink cat on reel 1 with more cats on reel 3, which is exactly how the expanding wild is meant to work on a short grid. How It ComparesOnly Anime follows the classic Redstone formula – five lines, expanding wilds and a jackpot bar – but it replaces the usual fruit with an anime theme. The math sits in the same place: the 7 at the top, a steep drop to the rest, and the jackpots doing the heavy lifting at the top end. Who Should Play ItThis is a game for players who like a simple grid and a strong visual theme. The five lines keep every spin easy to follow, the expanding girls land often enough to keep things moving, and the red 7 at 600x gives the base game a real top prize. The reservations are the lack of any published RTP or volatility figure and the absence of a free spins round. Beyond the girls and the jackpots, there is no feature here.
