The Expanding Pumpkin Wild

The pumpkin is the only special symbol in the game. It appears on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels only. When a pumpkin is part of a win, it expands to cover the whole reel and substitutes for the fruit on every row of that reel, which can complete several of the five lines at once.

Each expansion also brings a multiplier:

• one expanded reel multiplies the win by x2;

• all three middle reels expanded give x5.

How The Multiplier Works In Practice

Take a simple example. Two bells land on the first two reels of the top line, and a pumpkin lands anywhere on the third reel. The pumpkin expands, completes the line as a third bell and doubles the result, so the 4x bell win becomes 8x. Because the expanded reel covers all three rows, the same wild can complete other lines at the same time, and the multiplier applies to the win of that spin. If a second pumpkin expands on another middle reel, the multiplier rises to x3, and with all three middle reels covered it reaches x5. The more of the middle reels turn wild, the fewer matching fruits you need on the outer reels.

Because the pumpkins can only land on the three middle reels, the first and the last reel always decide the outcome. A seven on reel 1 together with a seven on reel 5 is the dream start for a fully expanded screen.

Symbol Wins

All wins pay from left to right, starting on the leftmost reel, and only the highest win is paid on each line. Converted to multiples of the total bet, the paytable looks like this:

• Seven: 6x for three, 14x for four and 200x for five;
• Bell and banana: 4x, 10x and 40x;
• Strawberry, grapes and watermelon: 4x, 8x and 20x;
