Royal Hot Overview

Royal Hot is a compact fruit slot from Gamzix, played on a 3x3 grid with 5 fixed paylines. The published RTP is 96.01%, the volatility is rated low to medium, and the maximum win is 300x the stake. It was released on 8 September 2024.

There are no free spins, no bonus game and no buy feature. The game is a straight line-pays fruit machine, and everything depends on which symbols line up on the five lines.

Bets range from 0.10 to 100 per spin. All figures below were read from the demo at a 100.00 total bet, which makes the multipliers easy to follow: every 100.00 in a win equals 1x the stake.

A Royal Fruit Machine

The reels sit on a deep red background inside an ornate gold frame, set against green quilted velvet like the wall of an old casino lounge. The Royal Hot logo on the left carries a small crown above the word "Royal".

The symbols are the classic fruit-machine set drawn in a glossy style: red sevens, gold stars, watermelons, grapes, bells, plums, lemons, oranges and cherries. When a line pays, the winning symbols burst into flames, which is where the "Hot" part of the name comes from.

The flames also mark the winning positions clearly, and a thin line is drawn across the paying row or diagonal, so it is easy to see which line paid when several wins land at once.

The controls are placed in a vertical column on the right: sound, autoplay, a large spin button, the bet stack and the menu. The win, bet and balance are shown along the bottom edge.

The Paytable

Only three of a kind pays, which is natural on a three-reel grid. At the 100.00 bet the paytable reads:

The red sevens pay 6,000.00 for three, which is 60x the stake. The gold stars pay 4,000.00 (40x) and the watermelon 2,000.00 (20x).

The grapes and the bells both pay 1,600.00 (16x). The plum, the lemon and the orange sit at the bottom with 800.00 each, which is 8x the stake.

The gap between the top and the bottom of the table is wide: one line of sevens is worth as much as seven and a half lines of oranges.

The table has three clear tiers. The sevens and stars form the top, the watermelon, grapes and bells the middle, and the four small fruits the bottom. Most wins in a session come from the bottom tier, while the top tier is what makes the rare big screens possible.

Because every value is fixed per line, the paytable scales directly with the bet. At the minimum stake of 0.10, three sevens pay 6.00; at the maximum stake of 100, the same line pays 6,000.00.

Paylines and Rules

The five paylines are the three horizontal rows and the two diagonals, as shown on the paytable page. Wins pay only in succession from the leftmost reel to the rightmost reel, and only the highest win on each line is paid.

On a 3x3 grid the centre position sits on three of the five lines (the middle row and both diagonals), so the middle symbol matters more than any other. The corners sit on two lines each, and the middle positions of the top and bottom rows on only one.

Wins in Practice

The screenshots show how the values from the table appear on the reels. A diagonal of plums paid 800.00, and a bottom row of oranges paid the same 800.00, both exactly the three-of-a-kind values at this bet.

A bigger combination was announced with a flaming HOT WIN banner and 1,600.00 on the screen, which is 16x the stake from a single spin.

The best screen of our session was almost all cherries: eight of the nine positions showed the same fruit, and three lines paid at once for a total of 2,400.00, or 24x the bet. That works out to 800.00 per line of cherries.

We also saw the top row and a diagonal of cherries light up together, and a diagonal of grapes during autoplay, with a counter on the right showing the remaining spins.

The demo runs on a fun balance of almost ten million, so every bet level can be tested freely. Over our session the balance moved from 9,997,699.99 to 9,990,299.99 in steps of a few hundred to a few thousand, before the cherry screen pushed it back up to 9,992,099.99.

How the 300x Maximum Is Reached

With no multipliers and no bonus features, the ceiling comes straight from the paytable. A full screen of red sevens pays 60x on each of the 5 lines, and 5 x 60x gives exactly the published 300x.

At the maximum bet of 100 that would be a win of 30,000, and at the minimum bet of 0.10 it would be 30.00.

The other big screens work the same way, because wins on several lines simply add together. A full screen of gold stars would pay 5 x 40x = 200x, and a full screen of watermelons 5 x 20x = 100x the stake.

Playing on Mobile

Royal Hot is built in HTML5 and, according to the published game data, weighs only about 4.6 MB, so it loads quickly even on a mobile connection. With just nine symbols on the screen and the controls in a single column, the layout stays readable on a small screen.

The autoplay button starts a series of spins, and the remaining number is shown next to the spin button, as in our screenshots with 10 and 22 spins left.

Who Should Play It

Royal Hot is for players who want a classic fruit machine with no distractions. The five lines are easy to read, the flaming wins give each result a little drama, and the low-to-medium volatility keeps the balance moving in small steps.

The trade-off is the modest 300x ceiling and the complete lack of features. Players who want free spins or a bonus round should look elsewhere.
