Jackpot Joker Overview

Jackpot Joker is a compact classic slot from TaDa Gaming, released on 5 February 2024. It plays on a 3x3 grid with 5 fixed paylines, uses old-school symbols – BARs, bells, cherries, limes, plums and grapes – and hangs everything on two extras: a multiplier strip above the reels and a four-level jackpot ladder led by the Joker herself. SlotCatalog lists a 97.23% RTP, medium volatility and a 15,000x maximum win, with stakes from 0.20 to 200.

The Multiplier Strip

Above the reels runs a row of multiplier boxes. Three are visible at any time, and the one in the middle, framed in gold, is the multiplier that applies to the current win. In our screenshots the values ranged from x1 up to x15, with x2, x3, x5 and x10 in between. The strip moves with every spin, so the same line can pay very differently depending on which box lands in the frame.

The screenshots show how directly it works. At a bet of 20, two BAR lines on paylines 3 and 5 paid 80.00 with x2 in the frame. Two lime lines on the same paylines paid 32.00, again with x2. Three lines completed with two stacked Jokers paid 48.00 under the same multiplier.

Reading the Line Values

The game does not show its paytable in our screenshots, but the wins let us work back to the line values. At a bet of 20 with x2 in the frame, two BAR lines paid 80.00 – that is 40 before the multiplier, or 20 per BAR line, exactly the stake. Two lime lines paid 32.00 under the same x2, which puts a lime line at 8, or 0.4x the bet. So a plain three-of-a-kind on a single line pays somewhere between a fraction of the bet and the full bet, and everything above that comes from the multiplier strip, the wild combinations and the jackpots. It is a deliberately flat base game that leaves the excitement to the extras.

The Joker Wild

The Joker is the wild. She appears with a WILD banner and completes lines across the grid – in one screenshot a single Joker in the middle turned a BAR–Joker–BAR diagonal into an 80.00 win. When two Jokers land stacked on the first reel, they can open several lines at once, which is how the 48.00 three-line win above came together.

The EX Extra Bet

At the bottom left sits an EX switch labelled “Extra Bets”. The game explains it in one sentence: “Activate EX and the winning score multiplier will be 2X or more.” In other words, with EX on, the x1 box can no longer land in the frame. It costs extra: in our screenshots the stake rose from 20 to 30 with EX switched on – a 50% surcharge for removing the weakest multiplier.

The Jackpot Ladder

The panel on the left lists four jackpots, and all of them scale with the bet. At a stake of 20 they read:

• Joker: 20,000 – 1,000x the bet
• Grand: 1,000–4,000 – 50x to 200x
• Major: 300–600 – 15x to 30x
• Minor: 100–200 – 5x to 10x

At a stake of 100 every figure is exactly five times higher: Joker 100,000, Grand 5,000–20,000, Major 1,500–3,000 and Minor 500–1,000. The top Joker jackpot is fixed at 1,000x; the three lower ones are ranges.

Jackpot Symbols and the Respin Button

Jackpots are won with Joker JACKPOT symbols, which stack on the reels. Two of our screenshots show two reels already covered with them and the remaining reel turned into a button: “Click to respin”, with a stated hit rate of 50%. The respin is paid for separately. At a bet of 20 it cost 400, and at a bet of 100 it cost 1K – so the price is set by the game for the situation on the reels, not as a fixed multiple of the stake. The game tells you the odds before you pay, which is unusual and useful.

Betting Options

The bet selector opens as a grid of fifteen values, from 0.1 up to 100 in the demo. The five paylines are fixed, so the bet only changes the size of each spin, and the jackpot ladder moves with it.

What the Numbers Say

A 97.23% RTP is high for any slot and very high for a three-reel classic. The 15,000x ceiling sits well above the 1,000x Joker jackpot, which only makes sense with a large multiplier from the strip on top of a strong result – the x15 box we saw is the kind of value that gets you there. Medium volatility fits the picture: small line wins are frequent, and the bigger moments come from the multiplier and the jackpot respins.

Graphics

The game is dressed in pink and purple with a diamond-pattern background and bulb-lit frame. The Joker is drawn as a jester in pink and gold, and she also appears on the jackpot panel holding a wand. The symbols are shiny and simple, and the whole screen stays readable even with the jackpot panel open.
