The Big Dog House is the latest entry in Pragmatic Play’s longest-running series, released on 21 May 2026. It plays on a 5x3 grid with 20 paylines, returns 96.53% at medium volatility and states its ceiling across the top of the screen: WIN UP TO 15,000 X BET.

The Kennel, Again

The reels sit inside a wooden dog house with a pitched roof, set in a suburban garden – white picket fence, neighbouring houses, a bird on the gutter. A banner along the ridge reads “3X BONUS AWARDS FREE SPINS”, so the trigger condition is stated before you spin.

The cast is the usual pack: a beaming pug, a shaggy white terrier, a rottweiler, a beagle, a green collar and a bone, with A, K, Q, J and 10 underneath.

Five pugs are worth 37.5x the bet and five tens are worth 1.25x. That is a wide spread by modern standards, and it matters because the ceiling is 15,000x – four hundred times the best line on the table. Everything in between belongs to the wilds.

Three Sizes Of Wild, And The Multipliers Add

The rules screen states the wild behaviour in full, and it is the most important paragraph in the game:

“This symbol is WILD and substitutes for all symbols except for any BONUS symbol. WILD symbol is present only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and can hit as an 1x1 (normal), 1x3 (EXPANDED) or 3x3 (COLOSSAL) size. At every spin, all WILDs have a random multiplier of 2x or 3x. The WILD multiplier applies to the win of each payline that it is part of. If there is more than one WILD symbol part of the win of a payline, the multipliers of all WILD symbols on that payline are added to each other.”

Three things follow from that. Wilds land on the middle three reels only, so the first and fifth reels never carry one. They come in three physical sizes – a single cell, a full column, or a 3x3 block covering nine positions across three reels. And when several sit on the same payline their multipliers are added, not multiplied.

That last clause sets the arithmetic. Three wilds at 3x each make 9x, not 27x. It is a more conservative design than some studios use, and it means the 15,000x ceiling has to come from a colossal wild covering the middle of the board across many lines at once, rather than from one runaway multiplier chain.

The Game Shows Its Working

Wins are reported in a bar under the reels with the multiplier printed first. Ours read “3X LINE 16 PAYS $40.00” – a modest line tripled, coming to 0.4x the stake.

Four Buy Options, Priced In Full

This is where the game is unusually generous with information. The BUY FEATURE panel offers four different rounds, each with its rules written underneath. At a base bet of $100.00:

Read the descriptions rather than the prices and the logic is clear. “Biggie” removes the 1x1 wild from the pool entirely, so every wild that lands is at least a full column. “Ghost Out” removes a wild that presumably vanishes before paying. Combining both doubles the price of either one alone – and at 500x it is among the most expensive buy-ins we have recorded on this site.

Super Bets And Ante Bets

Two more buttons sit down the left edge: SUPER BETS – 5 OPTIONS and ANTE BETS – 4 OPTIONS. Together with the four buy options that is thirteen different ways to change what a spin costs and what it can do, before you have touched the stake itself.

Ante bets conventionally raise the cost per spin to improve the trigger rate; super bets adjust the reel composition. Few slots offer both alongside a four-option buy menu.

Choosing Your Spin Count

When the round is awarded the screen changes completely. A banner reads “BIGGIE GHOST OUT FREE SPINS WON” and the dog house fills with rows of red barrels, each showing the numbers 3, 1 and 2.
