Slasher & Berry Overview

Slasher & Berry is a GameArt cluster-pays game with a joke built into its name and carried all the way through the artwork: the fruit have faces, and when a winning cluster forms they get slashed apart in a spray of red. It is a horror-comic parody played out with cartoon blueberries, and it is far more charming than that description suggests.

Underneath the styling is a tidy cascade game with one feature doing almost all the work – a multiplier tag that hangs off the corner of the grid and climbs as the chain continues.

Theme and Graphics

Every position is a rounded pastel tile in pink, purple, yellow, green or orange, with a hand-drawn fruit inked on top in thick black line. The bananas look faintly worried, the strawberries are furious, the oranges are smirking. The background is grey doodle paper, and the logo splits between dripping red horror lettering for Slasher and cheerful green for Berry.

The presentation is portrait-first and unusually spare – no jackpot ladder, no side panels, no character standing beside the reels. Just the grid, a win message, a multiplier tag and the stake.

Clusters and the Paytable

Clusters pay from five matching symbols upwards, and the table runs in nine bands: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11–12, 13–14 and 15 or more. All figures below come from demo play at a 3.00 bet.

The banana leads. Five bananas pay 3.00, nine pay 12.00, fourteen pay 60.00 – and fifteen or more pay 600.00. The strawberry follows at 1.50 rising to 150.00, the blueberries at 1.20 to 120.00. Now look at that final step. Every symbol in the game multiplies by five when a cluster goes from fourteen to fifteen – strawberry 30.00 to 150.00, plum 12.00 to 60.00, cherry 9.00 to 45.00. Every symbol except the banana, which goes from 60.00 to 600.00 and multiplies by ten.

That is the single most valuable fact in the paytable. A fifteen-banana cluster is worth 200 times the bet; a fifteen-strawberry cluster, the next symbol down, is worth fifty. The gap between the top symbol and the second is four-fold at the top band and only two-fold everywhere else.

The Rising Multiplier Tag

A blue tag hangs off the bottom-right corner of the grid like a price label, and it carries the current multiplier. It starts at x1 and climbs as the cascades continue – winning clusters are slashed away, the tiles above drop down, new clusters form, and the tag ticks upward with each step of the chain.

The demo tracks it plainly. A base-game cascade at x1 returns 3.89. A later one at x2 returns 4.50. And inside the free spins the tag reaches x10, turning a cluster into a 20.97 win – seven times the 3.00 stake from a single chain.
