Joker vs Joker Overview

Joker vs Joker is a BGaming game on a three-by-three grid with 5 paylines, and the title is literal. There are two different joker wilds – one in red, one in blue-grey – and each lands carrying its own multiplier.

The demo catches them at 2x, 9x, 10x and 20x, and on one spin both of them on the board at once.

Theme and Graphics

The setting is a stage under blue and purple spotlights, with the beams crossing behind the reels and the JOKER vs JOKER logo above them in comic-book lettering. The reel area is a plain black panel in a gold frame.

The two jokers are drawn as full-height portraits rather than tiles: the red one in an orange waistcoat and red suit, green-haired, with a raised hand; the blue one in a flat cap and blue overcoat. Each takes an entire reel when it lands.

Everything else is classic machine furniture – a red 777, a pair of gold bells, a BAR BAR plate, watermelon, grapes, plums, lemons and cherries. Two plates sit to the left of the reels: a green BUY BONUS and a pink NO JOKE SPIN. All figures below come from demo play at bets of 1,000 and 10,000 FUN.

The contrast between the two halves of the art is deliberate. The fruit and sevens are drawn flat, in the style of a bar machine from forty years ago; the jokers are full comic-book illustrations with shading and expression. When one lands, it does not look like a symbol – it looks like someone walking onto the stage.

Nine Positions, Five Lines

Three reels by three rows and five paylines means every winning combination is exactly three of a kind, and the paytable needs only a single column.

The red 777 leads at 25x for three. The bells pay 15x, the BAR BAR plate 10x, the watermelon 5x, the grapes 4x and the plums 3.5x.

That is a seven-fold spread across six symbols, and it is a short ladder even by three-reel standards. The demo confirms the bottom of it directly: a board filled entirely with plums – all nine positions – paid 3,500.00 on a 1,000 bet. Exactly 3.5x, from a board that could not have been fuller.

That single result is the clearest statement the game makes about itself. A perfect board of the cheapest symbol is worth three and a half times the stake. Without a joker, this game does not pay.

Note also that the paytable is quoted in multiples rather than cash, which is the friendlier convention. It means the figures above hold whatever you stake, and a player moving between bet levels does not have to re-learn the table.

The Two Jokers

Each joker expands to fill its reel and carries a multiplier printed beneath it in gold.

One capture shows the red joker at 9x on the middle reel, with plums and lemons around it and a floating 6,300.00. Another shows the blue joker at 20x on the third reel, alongside a red 777 stack and bells, with figures of 12,000.00 and 16,000.00 appearing as the win resolves and a total of 28,000.00 on a 1,000 bet – twenty-eight times the stake.

The most interesting board has both. The red joker at 2x fills the first reel and the blue joker at 10x fills the second, with a floating 7,200.00 and a running total of 38,400.00. That is over thirty-eight times the bet from a single spin.

What the captures do not settle is whether two jokers multiply together or add. A 2x and a 10x on the same board is either 20x or 12x, and the visible figures can be read either way. It is the one place where this otherwise very legible game keeps something back.

Either way, the practical consequence is the same. Two jokers on a three-reel grid leave only one reel of ordinary symbols, so almost any combination becomes a winning one, and the multiplier attached to them is what decides its size.

No Joke Spin

The pink plate on the left is an ante bet, and it carries a price: 10,000.00 FUN at the 1,000 bet, or 10 times the stake.

When it is running the plate reads NO JOKE SPIN ACTIVE with a progress bar beneath it, so the state is never in doubt. The name suggests what the money buys – a spin the jokers take seriously – and given that the jokers are the only thing on this game worth having, an ante that improves their odds is a more meaningful purchase than most.

Ten times the stake is a steep ante by any standard, though. Most bonus bets cost between a quarter and double the base bet; this one costs ten of them.

Free Spins and the Buy Button

Three FREE SPINS tiles on the grid award 5 free spins, announced in large yellow figures over a dimmed board with a counter reading 0 of 5 beneath the reels.

Five is a very short round, and on a nine-position grid it needs the jokers to do the work. There is no accumulating multiplier and no retrigger ladder visible in the captures.

The green BUY BONUS plate prices that round at 60,000.00 FUN on a 1,000 bet – 60 times the stake – and the confirmation screen restates both the bet and the price before asking YES or NO.

Twelve times the stake per free spin is expensive, and it sets a clear bar: the round has to average better than twelve times the bet per spin to be worth buying. The demo’s best single base-game spin, at 38.4x, shows that is achievable when a joker lands – and the plum board at 3.5x shows what happens when one does not.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win

The RTP is 95.5%, half a point under the modern standard. Volatility is rated Medium and the maximum win is 7,500x the bet.

Medium is the rating that gives pause. A game where the best ordinary combination pays 25x, a completely full board of the cheapest symbol pays 3.5x, and the demo’s largest result needed two jokers on the board at once does not behave like a middling slot – it behaves like one where almost nothing happens until a joker arrives.

The route to 7,500x is at least easy to see. Twenty-five times from a line of sevens, multiplied by a 20x joker, is 500x. Two jokers on the same board push it considerably further, and the ceiling is where the two largest multipliers meet the best paytable row.

It is a well-made small game with an unusually clean idea at its centre. Two wilds that carry their own numbers, on a grid small enough that either of them changes everything, is a better hook than most three-reel titles manage.
