A Cursed Laboratory

The reels are built into a grimy metal machine in a dark, blood-stained basement. Pipes run along the walls, a red warning lamp glows on the right, and an old television on the left shows a number during the free spins. A tall glass tube with a lever sits beside the grid, marked with an X and a multiplier counter. Every symbol sits in its own glass jar with a light above the column.

How Cluster Sizes Pay

The paytable rewards every extra symbol in a cluster, and the steps get bigger as clusters grow. For the heart, a cluster of 5 pays 500 DEM, 10 pays 2,500 – five times as much – 15 pays 25,000, ten times more again, and 20 or more reaches 150,000. The same pattern holds for every symbol: small clusters pay back a fraction of the bet, while a cluster covering most of the 25 positions can be worth hundreds of times the stake.

That is why the wild zombies and cascades matter so much. Each extra wild or each new symbol falling into place can push a cluster over the next threshold, and on a 5x5 grid a cluster of 20 needs four fifths of the board.

The Zombie Wild

The zombie appears to join clusters of the regular symbols. In our first screenshot a large cluster of Qs, As and Ks wound across the grid through several zombies and paid 250 DEM. Cascades And Letters

Slot catalogues describe cascading or avalanche wins, where paid clusters make room for new symbols.
