A Village Under A Burning Sky

The reels are set into a frame of cracked black rock with lava running through the seams. Behind it lies a timbered village at dusk, hills and a red-orange sky beyond. During the feature the whole scene turns violet and the words FREE GAME run vertically down both edges of the frame – a simple, effective way of showing which mode you are in.

The cast is a war party: a horned red demon, a pale ice giant, a green orc and a human warrior in leather armour, with a standing stone portal and A, K, Q, J and 10 beneath them.

The red demon is worth 25x the bet for six, and everything else collapses immediately behind it – the ice giant at 5x is a fifth of his value, and the bottom three symbols are worth half the stake.

He is also the only symbol in the game that pays for a pair, at 500. On a six-reel board where a pair is an everyday occurrence, that is a meaningful privilege and it is given to the one symbol that needed it least.

The Way Count Is Live

A banner sits directly above the grid showing how many ways are currently in play, and it changes with the shape of the reels. Across our screenshots it read 648 WAYS, then 768 WAYS, then 1,536 WAYS.

The published ceiling of 15,625 is five to the sixth power – six reels at their full height of five symbols each. That shape is rare, which is exactly why the figure is quoted as a maximum rather than a constant, and why a live counter is more useful here than a headline number.

A 648-way board and a 1,536-way board are not the same proposition, and this game tells you which one you have before the reels stop.

The Feature Prints Its Multiplier

Inside the free games a multiplier badge appears in the top-right corner. Ours showed 5X, and the win banner across the top printed it in brackets alongside the amount: “WINS $15000.00 (5X)”.

Against the $1,000 stake that single spin was worth 15x – from a board of aces, which sit in the 1x tier of the paytable. Without the multiplier the same screen would have been worth 3x.

The name points at the mechanic. “Fusion Reels’’ in KA’s catalogue refers to reels that merge or expand between spins, which is what produces the changing way count – 648 becomes 768 becomes 1,536 as reels grow.

It is a sensible pairing with the paytable underneath. With the red demon at 25x and nothing else above 5x, the game needs a way to multiply modest symbols across many paths, and a board that grows is exactly that.

96% At Medium-High Volatility

The return is exactly average. The medium-high rating fits: with up to fifteen thousand ways and every symbol paying from three, something lands on a large share of spins, and almost none of it is significant without either the red demon or a feature multiplier.

KA does not publish a maximum win for this title – it is absent from the studio’s own release spreadsheet and the catalogues carry no ceiling either – so we have left that field empty rather than print a figure we cannot stand behind.
