What Our Base Game Showed

Two screenshots at the 1.20 stake check the table. One spin connected three 10s on five different lines at once, for 1.50 – five times the 0.30 for three 10s. Another did the same with Qs: five lines, 1.50 again. It is a good illustration of how the forty lines overlap on a four-row grid.

The Expanding Griffin Wild

The Wild is the Griffin, and it appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4. It substitutes for everything except Coins. When it lands and at least one winning line passes through it, it expands to fill the whole reel and shows the full-size Griffin. On the middle reel it goes further: a Wild on reel 3 carries a 2x multiplier, so every win that runs through it is doubled.

Coins and the Hold & Win Trigger

The glowing orange orbs are Coin symbols. In the base game they pay nothing on their own – they matter only as a trigger. Six or more anywhere on the reels start the Hold & Win. Each Coin carries one of these values: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 25x, 50x or 100x the bet. Our trigger came with eight Coins worth 1.20 and 2.40 – 1x and 2x.

How the Hold & Win Works

The feature starts with 3 respins, during which only Coins can land. The Coins that triggered it stay locked in place. Every new Coin resets the counter to 3; a spin without a new Coin takes one respin away. The round ends when the respins run out or the grid is full.

Two extras make it more than a standard coin-collection round:

• Sticky multipliers: a random 2x, 3x or 10x can land on any spin. On a Coin it attaches to that Coin; on an empty position it waits there until a Coin arrives or the respins end.
• The progress bar: above the grid a bar counts the Coins. With 15 Coins the total win is multiplied by 2x; with all 20 positions filled, by 5x.

At the end the multipliers are applied to their Coins, the values are summed, and the progress-bar multiplier is applied to the total.

Our Hold & Win Round

Our screenshot catches the round at 18 of 20 positions. The bar has passed the 15 mark, so the 2x is secured, and four Coins carry a 2x badge. The Coins on the board add up to 39.60. With the four 2x badges that becomes 49.20, and with the bar’s 2x on top, 98.40 – about 82x the stake, more than the 60x price, if the round had ended at that moment. Two more Coins would have filled the grid and lifted the bar to 5x.

Graphics and Setting

The base game is set in a cavern of blue stone and green crystals, with the reels framed in carved rock. When the Hold & Win starts, the scene changes to a glowing orange vault full of gold, and the Coins burn like embers.
