Olympian Gods is a new release from Booongo, which takes us on a visit to the Ancient Greece. This video slot manages to surprise out with a bunch of interesting features. The theme is nothing new, but it is safe so if everything is well inside, it can still work.
How does the gameplay look like? When you play, you will play on 5x4 reels, where 50 active lines await you. The game delivers an interesting mix of features, there will be stacked symbols and free spins, ultimately you get paid at most 500x total stake for a single round, and that’s not great.
The wager system doesn’t seem to have a direct connection to the game’s active lines, since the 50 potential winning lines will require a total bet of only $0.20 to get them all active. At the other end, we are finding a maximum bet of $100 per spin.
Once the bet is set, check out the paytable, to find out how much you can get from the best winning combinations. The symbol with Zeus has the best reward, of up to $1,000 (10x stake) per line, so it could get you paid up to $50,000 in a single spin. The slot relies on stacked symbols, so it’s certainly possible to get a screen filed with matching symbols.
While the list of features in Olympian Gods doesn’t appear to be very long, the game does give us a couple of options which can significantly improve winning rounds.
Stacked symbols are among those that will have impressive potential, and as the developer mentions, it could very well result in a Super Mega Godlike Win, provided that the reels get filled with such icons.
Catching the Lightning of Zeus can result here in triggering the free spins. It’s one more chance for you to win, over multiple rounds, and without paying for those spins. The Lightning scatters only appear on three reels, 1st, 3rd and 5th ones. They can get you 10 free spins, once all three appear at the same time. Land another 3 scatters after that, and you retrigger the feature with the same number of additional free spins.
The wild symbol takes the form of the Temple symbol, and it’s clearly marked with its own logo. You may use these in new combinations, where they will act as replacements for other symbols. These are not as useful as in other games, where they also get to form their own wins. Here, that’s not possible, since the wilds are present on the last four reels only.
We can tell about the design of the came that it has a pros and cons. First of all, the Ancient Greek theme has been done a lot of times already, so it’s not exciting, not without a different angle, which this game doesn’t have. On the other hand, Olympian Gods is well designed, and it is very enjoyable to look at, so most players won't mind it so much. The list of symbols is split into two major categories, with basic Royals present in one, and images of deities and mythological creatures in the other (Zeus, Poseidon, Gryphon, Pegasus, Temples, Lion, Cerberus, Zeus Lightning)
Olympian Gods can be fun to play if you are looking for a game with a decent looking graphics and large game area.
